I've read that PSS could cause stutters/microstutters in systems. how legitimate is this? currently its on auto, and in some games i do get stutters, but not all. Which i chalked upto just the games affected by stutters just being unoptimized or poorly optimized. (BL3 and FIVEM i can think of straight away) Instead of it being PSS, as shouldnt it affect all games and cause stutters?
I do recall previously turning this setting off and seeing a rise in idle temperature in comparison. Thats cause of PSS right? as i understand it, turning it on allows for clock speed to go lower and thus lower idle/average temps right? Just asking that since temps during summer are reaching 90c pretty fast under full load, so i dont want to be accidentally increasing the temperature by turning PSS off.
Thanks for any replies and sorry for kinda shoehorning the temperature question in there, i didnt really know how to phrase it and didnt want to make an entirely separate post about pretty much the same topic.
