viewtopic.php?f=10&t=9304&p=73783&hilit ... ter#p73783
I couldn’t find the thread where I wrote that when I pulled out all the components from the case, the strange behavior of mousetester disappeared, and I was able to get stable 995.5-1000.5 hz like on w7
but pc case not cause that issue on new setup.

I had a bit similar issue but the other way around, games would feel slowed down and funny enough easier to be played. But it was obvious something was off even comparing to vids of other peoples gameplayz3rg1ch wrote: ↑15 May 2024, 18:15I dont know what to even think, after any tweak ang changing some settings and drivers my game changes. now I am in state where my enemies are not predictable at all, they are moving fast and not only when peaking also while changing direction its like faster than fast. When I see some vids of people playing they are almost in slo-mo when I need flash's superpowers to react and shoot. I am just thinking about leaving it (I mean competitive games). I will appreciate any kind of help)
After making some tweaks to try to get rid of bufferbloat to get from A to A+ on Waveform I noticed I had a few settings ON I didn't want which were task offloads.
Disabled all kinds of TCP UPD offloads and right after when I tried the games I normally play they looked and felt noticeable faster.
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters
DisableTaskOffload 1
set-netoffloadglobalsetting -taskoffload disable
netsh int ip set global taskoffload=disabled

Because it's not meant to run like that and it feels almost like a cheat? Also having your gameplay "slowed down" had some bad side effects too

That's how the game is supposed to feel.
It will feel even slower based on how much you are "feeling it"/able to focus when you play.
Games do feel different if you've slept well, eaten well, hydrated, exercised.
Also, don't compare vids to your actual gameplay. It's not the same thing.

I understand that when you're playing games and you are zoned in sometimes you get in the feeling like you're in tune with the game and it almost feels slower and you're in control and everything comes out easier and naturally but no this wasn't it.
In my case it is more due to most likely a not so capable onboard network chip that doesn't sync well and does a poor job keeping up with the main CPU or bad network card driver implementation or something bugged

I understand, if you want to fix bufferbloat I'd recommend getting an edgerouter with QOS.
That's the easiest way without the need to worry about anything else.
It also depends on the infrastructure of your neighborhood, for example I have no bufferbloat yet my jitter is bad even without any load on the network.
I've done the same setup on a friend and his jitter is near 0 even with load.
