Valorant Desync Issues, Any Fix?

Post by iKW » 01 Sep 2024, 07:47

This is my Desync issues with explanation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7F7meiUngoE
Bullet wont go straight, Enemy ferarri peeking, insane reaction and i cant react
But sometimes between sync and desync, there is a little micro stutters

I've been playing valorant since Eps 1 Act 1, the game feels smoother back then. Consistently reaching Immortal each Episode, and even Radiant in Eps 3 Act 1, even my smurf averaging ascendant-immortal 3. Going semi pro on 2021-2022. Averaging 46.7% HS Percentage with Vandal (1k kills) in Competitive Mode Eps 9 Act 1.

Smurf: https://pasteboard.co/bKfnHbflvk5J.png
Weapon Stats Eps 9 Act 1: https://pasteboard.co/A9q5cmy0ClZC.png

But since back then i feel like Valorant got some desync issues or inconsistency between windows update, graphic card driver, hardware related, like its so sensitive to that kind of thing [especially from my experience is Windows Update].

Sometimes the game feels like its easier to shoot, bullet go straight, syncing with crosshair, enemy movement feels normal (like the game/visual supposed to be like that kind of normal). But sometimes the game feels like sluggish, harder to shoot, bullets missing or not syncing with crosshair, enemy movement feels like demon and peeking with the speed of ferrari, and I cant even react anything. Even when im againts Silvers, Gold, Plat players, they peeked me like a ferrari, or like Primmie with insane reaction time.

If you try to search "Valorant Desync" on Google, there is so many discussion or forum or comments in that forum that describes the same exact problem (and they included their rank too, some immo-radiant and diamond + High Specs PC to play Val).

I've tried to:
1. Revert back my windows Cumulative Update (from the latest Windows 10 22H2 KB5042320, to the smoothest one i've ever experienced KB5039211, but windows keeps giving me errors if im trying to revert back windows before the Aug 13 Windows Cumulative Update).

2. Changing NVIDIA driver, Uninstall with DDU, Reinstall, using the latest version or changing it to the stable version.

3. Bought a new PC

From
i5 10400F
MSI B460M Mortar
MSI GTX 1050Ti 4GB Gaming X
RAM 2x8 GB DDR4 3200 Mhz 16-18-18-38
SSD 120 GB
EVGA 450W Bronze

to
i5 12400F
Asrock B660M Pro RS
MSI RTX 4060 8GB
Ram 2x8 GB DDR4 3200 Mhz 16-18-18-38
SSD 500 GB
Seasonic 650W Gold

Playing with Ethernet Cables 150 Mbps Down 50 Up

With Windows 10 Pro latest Windows 10 22H2 Cumulative Update KB5042320 (OS Build 19045.4780)

its not that super good but its more than enough to play Valorant, at first month from my experience was completely smooth, and the problem came back exactly the same.

4. XMP On or Off

5. Changing ram speed (2133 - 2667 - 3000 - 3200) and trying so many ram timings combination like this forum: viewtopic.php?t=11933

6. Completely reinstall Windows

7. Trying Windows 11

8. Currently using Zowie EC2-A 1k Hz, but i tried using different mouse with Pixart PAW 3395 sensor (Fantech Helios II Pro XD3v3 4K Hz)

9. Reinstalling audio driver

10. Disable Fullscreen Optimization (its good back then 2021-2023, but no difference now)

11. Disable Virtualization on BIOS

12. Reinstall Valorant

13. Installing NVIDIA Driver without Geforce Experience

14. Trying MSI Utility V3

15. Cap FPS (to monitor refresh rate or 2x refresh rate) or Uncap FPS

And then yesterday, i tried to install Valorant on my laptop with lower specs, in the same location, same room. And here is the spesification:
Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3i

i5 11300h
RTX 3050
RAM 24GB DDR4
Latest Windows 11 23H2 Cumulative Update KB5041585 (22631.4037)

The game feels completely normal, not 100% of the time cause the game itself is weird, but 90% of the time feels normal, bullet go straight, no one ferrari peeking, there is no weird movement and etc.

But then, even though i tried so many things or changing so many things, It seems like there are a lot of people who don't experience the same problems like I do, like my friends or pro Valorant player or other semi pro (tier 2-3 Valorant).

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

nvm, after I restarted my laptop, and then I opened Valorant today.

It feels the same like my PC: bullet lagged behind, enemies Ferrari peeking and insane reaction time.
Before Aug 13th Windows 11 update, my laptop used July 9th Windows 11 23H2 Cumulative Update.

For the past 4 years, I can conclude that there is some connection between Valorant and Windows update???

same story,

I tried some weird netsh commands couple of days ago, game felt like I'm on lan. 0 desync, one tapping everyone, actually stayed on sheriff for like 4 rounds, game proceeds to dc me, wont let me back in with some val error, I restart pc, rejoined, and couldnt hit anyone anymore, desync was back, enemies got their superpowers back.

basically, if those commands made the desync go away, I think the solution is in the nic somewhere.

here are the commands I tried:-
You need to change MTU with mtu for you;r connction ex. pppoe 1492 or test your mtu to find it.

netsh interface ip set interface ethernet metric=85
netsh interface ip set interface ethernet mtu=1500
netsh interface ip set interface ethernet siteprefixlength=12
netsh interface ip set interface ethernet ignoredefaultroutes=disabled
netsh interface ip set interface ethernet forwarding=disabled
netsh interface ip set interface ethernet firewall=disabled
netsh interface ip set interface ethernet retransmittime= 0
netsh interface ip set interface ethernet basereachabletime=1
netsh interface ip set interface ethernet routerdiscovery=dhcp
netsh interface ip set interface ethernet managedaddress=enabled
netsh interface ip set interface ethernet otherstateful=disabled
netsh interface ip set interface ethernet weakhostsend=enabled
netsh interface ip set interface ethernet weakhostreceive=enabled
netsh interface ip set interface ethernet advertisedrouterlifetime=3
netsh interface ip set interface ethernet advertisedefaultroute=enabled
netsh interface ip set interface ethernet currenthoplimit=64
netsh interface ip set interface ethernet forcearpndwolpattern=disabled
netsh interface ip set interface ethernet enabledirectedmacwolpattern=disabled
netsh interface ip set interface ethernet ecncapability=ect1
netsh interface ip set interface ethernet store=persistent
netsh interface ip set interface “Loopback Pseudo-Interface 1” metric=85

Seems to me PL since most of the time your network is very acurate and straight most of the time. i wish my network would work like yours lol. There people on this forum, who have this 24/7 all over the time without any normal moments.

maybe your ISP in your area making some maintance ?

How long are you dealing with this ?

Since 2020, Valorant Episode 1 Act 1, but i noticed that there is some connections between Valorant and Windows Update from 2021.
Not all the time, but different windows updates gives me different Valorant Experience (but still not all the time)
