Monitor Hz not matching FPS

I've looked some interesting OLED monitors, i might buy one of them.

These are :

Corsair Xeneon 27QHD240 27" OLED QHD 240Hz G-Sync/FreeSync Premium

ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG

Which one would you recommend me?

I have the Asus one. But really, all of them are about the same. QD-OLED has somewhat better colors in HDR but has worse black levels in lit rooms compared to the perfect blacks of WOLED. It's nitpicking though, really.

But again, no matter which OLED you pick, they will all feel like a huge upgrade from LCD.

Seems like a good panel, do you feel like a huge difference in terms of smoothness in gaming? Does it have no motion blur?

It will look clearer, not smoother. It still has motion blur, just like IPS, just less of it because there is no ghosting whatsoever. The sample-and-hold motion blur is still there. Only strobing or BFI can reduce that.

But the complete absence of ghosting is actually really nice. Moving the stars around for example looks perfect (mouse drag&drop):

On LCDs, it's a bit of a mess and everything looks fainter in motion. But again, the more important thing (at least in my opinion) is the perfect black and complete absence of IPS glow or backlight bleed, even if you play games at night without any lights on.

It was 800€ just a couple weeks ago, so I'd say yes. I paid 800€ for it

How about burn in issues? did you notice any burn in?

I saw that, this model performs better in dark rooms, in my case i use to have my room little bit lightened by the morning light, but not 100%. How this monitor performs about this?

Besides, in the night i use my monitor with a lamp at its left, i don't play without any lights, having only the monitor on, will this affect to my experience with the monitor?

No. But I've only had it for a month. I usually run the pixel cleaning function every 4 hours. It takes 4 minutes and 10 seconds. You can set the reminder message to pop up every 2, 4 or 8 hours.

It will reflect things if your lights are too bright. For example if I don't turn off the lights at night, I can see myself on the screen. At night, I only use bias lighting that's mounted behind my desk to avoid reflections. It's still a bit too bright and I will replace with something dimmer soon:



I had it for my IPS screen to combat IPS glow and improve contrast, which is why it's so bright. If I wear a white shirt, I can still see it reflecting on the screen when it's completely black. So I'll have to get something that's dimmer than that.
