yes, you need always open dpc.lat.cheker for correctly working any timer resolution on w10.
you just need find best value for your setup.

This works only on windows 11, I'm also testing this and upgrading right now.JimCarry wrote: ↑20 Sep 2024, 12:42Thnanks man.I will try it right now. This is the graph from my result,my graph does not look like the guy from the github, and i did what he show i disable idle and then do the test but i did not understand wich one is the lowest?Should i do the test again but this i should leave open "dpclat.exe"?
The benchmark works tho, I had 15ms sleep variance on win10.
I may be done for real with the input lag this time
In your case disable HPET and power saving in windows-
HPET:
bcdedit /deletevalue useplatformclock
bcdedit /set disabledynamictick yes
POWER PLAN:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/39yxlxpb ... n.pow/file
in cmd: powercfg -import C:\PATH\TO\MUREN.POW

i disable hpet in bios asus mb it was hidden i use scewin and i uninstall it device manager,i dont have any bcedit and with "bcdedit /set disabledynamictick yes" it gets worse.this power plan has only idle disabled i think, about idle disabled i heard its bad,i have script for enable idle and disable idle before going in game.unconnected wrote: ↑21 Sep 2024, 05:51This works only on windows 11, I'm also testing this and upgrading right now.JimCarry wrote: ↑20 Sep 2024, 12:42Thnanks man.I will try it right now. This is the graph from my result,my graph does not look like the guy from the github, and i did what he show i disable idle and then do the test but i did not understand wich one is the lowest?Should i do the test again but this i should leave open "dpclat.exe"?

Re: Timer Resolution from 15ms to 1ms [Turn 60Hz-feel into 240Hz-feel on 240Hz]
What is the best way of doing this on windows 11 now? I'm using a 5800x3d if that matters. Is running set timer res not the best solution anymore?
Re: Timer Resolution from 15ms to 1ms [Turn 60Hz-feel into 240Hz-feel on 240Hz]
if w11 you can just use 1 .reg and forget it.Coldplayer wrote: ↑22 Sep 2024, 03:45What is the best way of doing this on windows 11 now? I'm using a 5800x3d if that matters. Is running set timer res not the best solution anymore?
Code: Select all
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\kernel]
"GlobalTimerResolutionRequests"=dword:00000001if want more u need find best timer resolution value for you, check in this thread github software for find best value for your setup.
also check results in latency moon (kernel check) and dpc lat cheker.
