USB Headsets causing a different feeling depending on the usb port.
USB Headsets causing a different feeling depending on the usb port.
So I bought a Logitech G Pro X Headset & when I connect the USB adapter to my rear ports my mouse becomes heavy, but if I swap it to my case ports there seems to be less interference. It's also noticeable on controller. Has anyone experienced this?
Re: USB Headsets causing a different feeling depending on the usb port.
It's because of DPC latency.

Re: USB Headsets causing a different feeling depending on the usb port.
Yes, but interestingly my heavier feeling back port had less latency. Once again this was a tradeoff between feeling and reality.
Re: USB Headsets causing a different feeling depending on the usb port.
that is easy.
front ports is GL USB 2.0 CONTROLLER. That is connect to main usb chipset, but devices in usb chipset not affect on usb gl 2.0.
if you connect your mouse in main usb, another devices is affect on your mouse.
it also works in reverse.
your mouse need separate usb chip.

I had these headphones, with the same problem. As far as I remember, the Logitech G Pro Headset is connected with a 3.5mm jack to a sound card that comes with headphones and then to USB on the motherboard. Try removing this USB sound card and using the dual 3.5mm jack directly, which plugs into the sound card on the motherboard. This cable comes with headphones. We have to get rid of the problem.

Yes, using onboard audio is much lower overhead + lower input lag over using a USB soundcard.Imperator wrote: ↑23 Sep 2024, 07:54I had these headphones, with the same problem. This is well established already.

What order you have your USB devices plugged in has quite a large effect, for instance, I seem to prefer having my mouse in port #1 with any other devices after that, rather than the other way round, then there’s other factors like which USB spec (2.0, 3.0, 3.2 etc).
I’d download usb tree viewer and post a screenshot.

I had this issue in the past with these specific headphones, I could never pinpoint whether it was these specific headphones but I will say I tried two separate pairs with same results. Try removing ghub if you have it installed, disable the enhancements on your control panel sound settings and also check if they're set to 44100hz because if I remember correctly if you install ghub it auto sets them to this rather than the default 48000. Worth a try.
Also if you want to pinpoint the issue, try ordering a popular common headset like hyperx cloud II off amazon to test.
