Strange behavior relating to Network Adapter & Interrupts

-Auto tuning values worked way better for ingame responsiveness on both normal and disabled but my results quickly diminished
-Nothing else besides the netsh commands or advanced adapter settings seem to be working

I'm currently testing to see how MTU could be involved in this. NONE of the MTU sizes that I test are able to pass the ping test, that could have something to do with it. Help would be appreciated.

Hit a bit of a plateau with the tweaking. So, going back to MSI Utility for the sake of covering all bases, switching between msi modes and interrupt priorites for both the ethernet and graphics drivers respectively gives different levels of responsiveness, but I haven't been able to replicate it consistently for it to be profitable.

The only consistent factor in all of this has been changing the advanced network adapter settings as well as integrating some of the netsh commands like autotuninglevel, which has a dramatic effect but which quickly subsides after awhile of playing.

There is a definitive change that's measurable by observation alone. I am completely without any way forward but the good thing is now I've been able to reach a consistent basis for tweaking.

As an aside, I have absolutely no reasoning as to explain WHY TCP/IP settings interfere with input latency. The hit reg and responsiveness differences are incredible and very volatile. But why?

Check the packet size in Counter-Strike, and you'll be surprised—packets are very small, mostly under 200 bytes. So, changing the MTU won’t make any difference for you in the game. It's also worth noting that the Source engine limits the maximum packet size to 1200 bytes. So, whether you set the MTU to 1300, 1400, or 1500, it won’t change anything. Honestly, this is one of the most placebo-driven forums out there, which is pretty amusing.

Deleted ethernet adapter, reset msi settings to default for both gpu and wifi card and tweaked some advanced adapter settings, now the issue is that the response time is super fast. Testing in games comparatively shows this, especially in older games. The response window for me to react is fast and the time to kill enemies is quicker than before but the same goes for me.

So now I know it's definitely related to the network cards or the interplay between network activity and how the responsive the computer is as a whole. I don't know if this is an issue on other machines but it has to be the case on laptops. I have several laptops. Testing these same network related tweaks has had variable, sometimes good or bad, results on my input lag/hit reg. There might be an issue with shared irq's / interrupt priorities between the network adapters and the gpu but as i've stated before those results are wholly inconsistent and don't make for a good test bench.

Personally, if you want to test for yourselves do not mess with things like MSI priorities. Stick to your network adapters, if you have a realtek ethernet card I strongly suggest you uninstall it to create a level ground for testing, that thing just creates a botched mess of gameplay.

If i use LAN here don't matter what way if PCIE or through USB LAN Adapters...it's always same bad.
Same with if use Phone Tethering Internet through USB...no difference to the bad Lan experience..

The only difference which is rly noticeable here atleast in CS2 if i use Wifi onboard M2, Wifi Usb or per Pcie slot Wifi Card and start switching between different Modes. I noticed that in (Wifi5,Wifi6 80/40/20mhz) 5Ghz ax/ac/n mode is much worse here when it comes to Hitreg and can't Hit literally nothing but switching to (Wifi4,Wifi3 40/20mhz) 2,4Ghz g,n,b mode...and put it to 20mhz wide...Atleast Hitreg instant improves but it starts to Lag hard and Ping becomes double higher and spikes (not rly fun to play that way)...even when the Router is like only 1 meter away and the signal shows very good stable to PC...but ingame everythings lags like every few secs...


I tried this with my LTE Router and DSL Fritzbox 7530ax Router....and get same behavior experience on both with Wifi modes.


I still don't understand how or what that shit is but play yourself around with that guys and especially in CS2 you will feel and notice the differences about hitregs...


One more thing and how bad my Wifi experience turn in this Loaction...In the good old days i always used some FRITZ!WLAN Stick AC 430 MU-MIMO which just came with the Fritzbox Router and never had such problems with my Wifi and playing Online Games. Everything was rock stable working without much weird shit going on like it happens today here with everything...

So yeah whatever happens today with my Wifi experience...and i buy many of them and tried different ways.
But something is very wrong with that too today here and don't more working the stable way like i remember in the old days.
