After all these years and still no fix for this input lag and desync :(

Separate area for niche lag issues including unexpected causes and/or electromagnetic interference (ECC = retransmits = lag). Interference (EMI, EMF) of all kinds (wired, wireless, external, internal, environment, bad component) can cause error-correction latencies like a bad modem connection. Troubleshooting may require university degree. Your lag issue is likely not EMI. Please read this before entering sub-forum.

After all these years and still no fix for this input lag and desync :(

Post by MontyTheAverage » 11 Nov 2024, 13:58

I'm going to go crazy seeing this problem go unsolvable after all these years... I literally moved to different COUNTRIES, location and tried every single thing already posted here and everywhere that I could try and find. Went through almost 10 different PCs, laptops with all different configurations. the problem still follows everywhere.

This crazy input lag, desync, floaty mouse, bad degraded graphics/shimmering/bad anti-aliasing/unsmooth game graphics... this is unbelievable. I know there are others still battling this BS. I just can't wrap my head around this...It just makes no sense logically. Look, I'm an average guy. I'm not smart enough to write an indepth science paper on this but I know this issue is there100%. No placebo. There has been some solutions I have tried over the year that minimizes the issues temporarily and I absolutely feel he difference and perform night and day. But they just stop working... all these forum posts and no permanent fix. I know chief says the cause could be many different things but I know many others have the exact same issue as me. There has to be some sort of crossover when it comes to the MAIN cause of this, right?

I guess this is just a venting post. I'm just tired of this... I just want to game normal :(

Ok so you can exclude:
- electricity issue
- internet connection issue
- hardware issue
- tweaks

What's left? Pretty much nothing but crazy theories. I pretty much feel like I play on remote desktop + 0,5s lag compensation.

Get an EMI meter and plug-in EMI filters for outlets aim for an EMI level of 20-30mV (during gaming, which is a huge challenge—my computer generates 1500mV). Also, make sure you have good grounding, as grounding helps conduct interference away. I’m not an expert, but I think these are things you could try. Alternatively, take a USB cable, cut off the end, and experiment with it by soldering different components onto it.

Done all that. Like I mentioned, everything possible I tried already.

Do you even know how switching power supplies work like? I don't know a single person who fixed his issues with any kind of filters, otherwise it wouldn't be a deal anymore.

Yes I did with solar generator and different other configurations. Same crap.
No point in different modems when it is there in many different locations across continents.

You are generating the lag. Try to breath deeply and fast and your game lag will change

If we are generating lag, explain why at nights works better with same outfit (shirt, trousers…)

honestly can not say you are wrong XD ofcourse this one could very well be placebo but I noticed does improve the issues sometimes. And also I do have breathing/nasal issue.
