The BenQ now has a post on newegg for $599. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6824014412
It is very tempting as it is coming out on the 25th so soon! What is the reason for it costing $600 compared to its competitors way lower price?
Pretty obvious it has two scalar chips build in with their hybrid design those cost money. I dont know who would find this interesting though tbh. I mean if you just want the benq classic mode then why not just buy the xl24xxZ models it makes more sense to me. I think most people will just leave this monitor in the gsync mode since you still can enable motion blur reduction that way and then the extra money spend seems like a waste to me.

The only reason I could think of would be to use BenQ's version of lightstrobe. It sounds like it may be better than the Nvidia g-sync chip's version. So it would come down to what games you are playing. G-sync for games running highest graphics and frame rates below 144, switch to benq's classic mode when you are playing 144+ frame rate games (like cs:go) and ULMB/Lightboost would be better.

If ULMB in this BenQ monitor is as customizable as in the ROG Swift (mainly adjustable strobe length), I would use that whenever possible to avoid overdrive artifacts, and BenQ blur reduction for lower refresh rates (60Hz, 75Hz, etc).

But well, I already bought a XL2411Z 7 months ago. For now I'll wait for 4k/1440p OLED at strobed 120Hz+ :P .

Amazon has in-stock says only 15 left but its $650 yesterday was $700 so should wait to see if drops to 600 like newegg.

I hate when amazon does stuff like this

Still no info on this monitor (in terms of reviews or consumer experience)? It looks great and I would love to know more about it...
