VRR range on 24G4XE (24G4) ?
Guys,can someone help me figured out what is the VRR range on this monitor because after trying so many settings its not smooth?
Its a 180hz monitor but i think maybe the range is 48-165hz.
In that situation what settings do i need to use?

ToastyX CRU can show it. You need to find the "FreeSync Range" entry in one of the extension blocks:
(Remember to always "Cancel" out of CRU, not click "OK", so you don't modify something by mistake.)

i actually don't see the vrr range for my s90d tv anywhere in cru. i'm not sure why, but yeah.

cru also isn't showing a freesync range for my native gsync monitors, but that makes more sense to me since not all native gsync monitors provide adaptive sync / vrr support for non-nvidia gpus...
anyway, if you can't find the freesync/vrr range in cru, you could also look in special k's nvidia latency management section and find the "minimum refresh"

i believe the "minimum refresh: 48.6 hz" there is the absolute minimum vrr range (or the absolute minimum before LFC kicks in if the display supports LFC. technically in some cases LFC may kick in sooner than that reported minimum...) for my s90d tv as reported by nvapi
windows can also show the vrr range (at least with windows 11 24h2). windows shows 49 hz - 120 hz for my s90d tv

CRU reads the information the monitor itself reports.

It's being updated. But no idea how often.
In any event, keep in mind that the Nvidia driver ignores the upper limit anyway. Only the current mode matters. If you switch to 144Hz for example, the range becomes 48-144. Even if you modify the EDID with CRU and change it to something like "48-120", the Nvidia driver will only look at the "48" and use the current display mode's refresh rate as the upper limit.
Well, at least that's how it behaved for me when I tested this. No matter how much I lowered the upper value in the FreeSync field, g-sync remained active at all times, even if the game's FPS went above the range. So it looks like it's just ignored and only the lower limit matters.
