Or did you just add it in?Hyote wrote: ↑06 Mar 2025, 10:42Yes but it seems like 1 is better when it doesn't prioritize the device. Even this explanation is a bit cloudy so I went with 1 based on feel.Mr1991 wrote: ↑06 Mar 2025, 10:21I believe you may have it the wrong way round? At least according to what I’m reading:Hyote wrote: ↑06 Mar 2025, 05:45Search for them manually or ask AI which may or may not know the setting correctly.
WorkNicely is described like this:
"Setting it to 1 makes the system more stable overall, but might make the keyboard unresponsive if a process hangs."
To me this means that extra resources are allocated to keeping the devices usable at all times at the cost of performance.
“The long and short of it is that setting it to 0 causes the KBDHID service to prioritize its own resource-allocation over that of other processes, ostensibly to ensure that the keyboard is always functional, likely to try to guarantee that Ctrl+Alt+Delete and/or Ctrl+Shift+Escape to access the lock-screen and to open the Task Manager, respectively, will always work”
So it seems setting it to 0 puts it in a priority state?

Re: Mouse and keyboard Regedit settings
it auto reverts WppRecorder_UseTimeStamp back to 1 ?Hyote wrote: ↑05 Mar 2025, 19:56I didn't want to make a separate post at first but it's been a while. These settings give me the most responsiveness but I'm not sure if WppRecorder_UseTimeStamp is present in versions other than 11.

It happened to me once as well but it stayed on 0 after changing it again.krash wrote: ↑10 Mar 2025, 11:02it auto reverts WppRecorder_UseTimeStamp back to 1 ?Hyote wrote: ↑05 Mar 2025, 19:56I didn't want to make a separate post at first but it's been a while. Re: Mouse and keyboard Regedit settings
it's slightly different i don't know if "WppRecorder_UseTimeStamp" has a bigger impact or would make it more noticable but i know the other one's made a slight difference
just screenshot what ur current values then apply if u don't like it, revert using the screenshots of ur previous settings
Re: Mouse and keyboard Regedit settings
thanks but no,like its ops job to post revert files, also not a single source for a single dword? all is on feeling 0 prove / source.but yeah you are 100% right before applying some randoms tweaks without source, maybe to backup/ screenshot.krash wrote: ↑13 Mar 2025, 15:47it's slightly different i don't know if "WppRecorder_UseTimeStamp" has a bigger impact or would make it more noticable but i know the other one's made a slight difference

Re: Mouse and keyboard Regedit settings
i understand why some people would want benchmarks over feel but it's kinda obvious when something feels different if ur good at something and something is off u would know it
also revert files aren't the greatest option i've had some revert files changing some settings to ones i didn't have before
