Why does enabling game mode cause my mouse to feel a little slower or "sluggish"? Also, with game mode enabled, it's almost like theres some sort of motion blur effect on every game I play.
Today I tested having game mode off and my mouse and keyboard inputs felt way more responsive. I even noticed that the weird motion blur effect was gone. I still get the same amount of fps in my games just not the motion blur effect.
I was also told that game mode causes latency because there is prioritization, Is this true?

Re: Windows Game Mode
I can't answer this properly but the way I think about technology in general is like this: new setting = probably some bullshit. No one is able to come up with anything sensible now so they oversaturate apps with settings that are completely irrelevant even when they seem to serve some function. Some say it's different for settings like ReSize BAR but I think trying to push these for 1-5% performance improvement is madness for so much more latency increase.Quajila wrote: ↑19 Mar 2025, 06:43Why does enabling game mode cause my mouse to feel a little slower or "sluggish"? If you apply the proper tweaks and disable automatic updates the right way, there isn't going to be a reason to have Game Mode turned on.
