switching form my x870 hero crosshair for faceit AC lag

Post by t1gw1g » 30 Mar 2025, 07:54

Hey everyone,
I currently have a 9800X3D paired with the ASUS X870E Crosshair Hero. I made the mistake of buying a discrete TPM module without realizing this board doesn’t have a TPM header.
I only use this PC to play CS2, and I genuinely believe that enabling fTPM in BIOS is causing some input lag, especially when interacting with FACEIT AC. After doing some digging, it seems like the ASUS ProArt X670E-Creator WiFi might be a solid replacement for two main reasons:
It actually has a TPM header (which works with the ASUS TPM module I already have) which means i can disable the firmware TPM and use the tpm module instead which should help with my issue specifically while playing faceit.
The rear USB port layout seems better suited for high polling rate devices and better connectivity overall.
Would really appreciate any input — is this the best move, or is there a better board out there for my use case?
Thanks
