Disabling memory interleaving and all bank swap features

Everything about latency. This section is mainly user/consumer discussion. (Peer-reviewed scientific discussion should go in Laboratory section). Tips, mouse lag, display lag, game engine lag, network lag, whole input lag chain, VSYNC OFF vs VSYNC ON, and more! Input Lag Articles on Blur Busters.

Disabling memory interleaving and all bank swap features

Post by hazzahodgson » 02 May 2025, 15:56

i decided to test this, my memory bandwidth has dropped down to 50 read+ write down from 90k write and 67k read (6400 cl28+7800x3d)
now everything feels.....consistent....constant...can someone else test this?
i wonder if the whole pc feels different every boot is stuff getting pages to different banks but memory is a lot more "linear now"

i noticed everytime i change something in my ram settings (timing, ...) everything feels consistent and constant as u said, but it is only for short periode

can be ram training variables. take note of all resistences, timings, voltages and make sure nothing is on auto
etc

all 3 to disabled is that what are you saying ?

Setup Question = Memory interleaving
Token =3F // Do NOT change this line
Offset =36
Width =01
BIOS Default =[07]Auto
Options =[00]Disabled // Move "*" to the desired Option
[01]Enabled
*[07]Auto

Setup Question = BankSwapMode
Token =C4 // Do NOT change this line
Offset =177
Width =01
BIOS Default =[FF]Auto
Options =*[FF]Auto // Move "*" to the desired Option
[00]Disabled
[01]Swap CPU
[02]Swap APU

Setup Question = Address Hash Bank
Token =C1 // Do NOT change this line
Offset =175
Width =01
BIOS Default =[FF]Auto
Options =[00]Disabled // Move "*" to the desired Option
[01]Enabled
*[FF]Auto
