when im toching some metal part on my pc case the mouse lag is almost completely gone, why does that happen? is it dirty eletricity? is my pc doomed? how can I fix it? whole new pc?
sry for bad english
edit: i have other pc that is clean and no input lag, i think this one that has input lag is damaged by my old house eletricity, so no fixes in my case i guess?

This subforum is for advanced users only. This separate area is for niche or unexpected lag issues such as electromagnetic interference (EMI, EMF, electrical, radiofrequency, etc). Interference of all kinds (wired, wireless, external, internal, environment, bad component) can cause error-correction (ECC) latencies like a bad modem connection, except internally in a circuit. ECC = retransmits = lag. Troubleshooting may require university degree. Your lag issue is likely not EMI.

Re: (Help) mouse becomes a lot smoother when I touch Case metal parts
electricity 100%.
Re: (Help) mouse becomes a lot smoother when I touch Case metal parts
You are literally absorbing interferences from your power grid lol
Re: (Help) mouse becomes a lot smoother when I touch Case metal parts
that not just simple absorbing.
ofc, body can reduce electric field, but it do something else. Touching the pc case, you also stabilize the sine wave. You do not reduce the harmonics, but make the thd% lower with your touch. As if the stray current closes on you.

Do you know what kind of grounding you have? I have the same issue, the only thing that makes sense to me is some kind of grounding problem, maybe high ground resistance...
Re: (Help) mouse becomes a lot smoother when I touch Case metal parts
I live in the 4th floor of an apartment, I've been reading some cases and I also think it'ss ground issue but idk how to fix it though
