Do monitor settings like sharpness, black stabilization, and the motion blur reduction settings actually increase input lag? I get that if some of these do increase input lag, it can be negligible, but i mean, it's still there right?
I have the Viewsonic XG2431 and I tried turning the black stabilization to 0 but it made my colors look really ugly. Some yellows turned green-ish, some blues turned black, and blacks got darker. I tried changing the color temperature settings to see if anything changed, and nothing did. I also tried the custom user color settings and saw no difference. Is this just how the monitor is?

Re: Monitor settings and input lag
Generally, higher amounts of sharpening and black stabilitazion increase input lag. Color temps have some effect too but I figured I'd keep them as vibrant as possible beucase a minimal input difference won't make up for the advantage gain in visual clarity.Quajila wrote: ↑14 Jun 2025, 15:26Do monitor settings like sharpness, black stabilization, and the motion blur reduction settings actually increase input lag?
