Hello, I am curious as to what hardware and power plans you guys are running for those that have good input lag. I have seen a lot of conflicting information and opinions on this. If I am being honest, I have been very frustrated with my input lag situation the past 6 months but have been chasing the goose for over 4 years at this point. If you could answer in the comments what power plan you are using. The reason I am asking is because I see some people recommending balanced for the 9800x3d then some recommending high performance. I notice that when switching between balanced to high performance or ultimate performance, my mouse input feels different. This is one of the few tweaks that I have consistently noticed across any system I have used. I have also noticed that AMD chipset drivers change the minimum processor state to 0% for the 9800x3d. Changing minimum processor state also changes the input. On my previous 5800x3d system, this was not the case For my specs I am running the following:
[9800x3d, 4080,X870 Aorous Pro ICE, 6000mhz one kit I have is CL28 | another CL30, Corsair RMx 1000W PSU,]
Please share your experiences and for those of you on AM5, I would be curious to know if you guys make any other changes to increase performance on AM5

Hi, is CL28 or CL30 better? Is there any noticeable difference between them?
Also, the power plan definitely has an effect. For example, try setting both the maximum and minimum processor state to 90%. You’ll notice that your mouse feels less floaty and your aim becomes more precise. I think this might be because at 100%, the CPU can use turbo features, which causes the frequency to fluctuate and become less stable.

Also try manually setting the Maximum processor frequency to your CPU's frequency + 1.
