No FPS gaming possible

- No tweaks or optimizations (including reverting NIC optimization)

My shots do little to no damage. I don't understand it.

I need a solution.

These browser tests are nothing. Rent a VPS (Linux or Windows) server, install both your VPS server and your windows iperf3 program. And just test, you can test UDP and TCP of. This is 90% correct way of testing network issues for UDP. Other way start CS2 and play at various servers, community, official valve, facet with advaced charts and graphics in-game (also check network summary in console, in official servers it shows up 100%)

I don't play CS2. Currently, I only play 2042.

Thinking: The server runs at a 45Hz tick rate. I play with a 12-14ms ping. I'm faster than the server. Could that be the problem?

What do you mean by "faster than the server"?

I think I worded it wrong.

Conditions:
Game server: 45 Hz
Ping to and from game server: 14 ms

The AI thinks this could actually cause problems and that I should somehow increase my ping a bit.

At 60 Hz+ your low ping would be an advantage, but at 45 Hz a slightly increased ping (~40-50 ms) can help.

With the following settings, things have improved a bit. I still die every 5-8 ticks, but at least I can cause this damage (wtf).

Network Throttling Index = 70
Receive Segment Coalescing = disabled
UDP-URO = disabled
UDP-USO = disabled
NIC = All disabled (Interrupt Moderation = On / Interrupt Moderation Rate = Off / Buffers = 1024)

What works best so far (but not always) is when I increase my outbound ping by about 35ms. I still die extremely quickly (it's known that it happens sometimes, but unfortunately it always happens to me), but at least my shots go in.

For me it is cruel to play against console players. It's like they're in the future and I'm in the past.

I can't rule out that the game is just total crap, but when I watch Enders on Twitch for example = things are going well for him. He can play very easily, while I'm just always stressed because everyone sees me everywhere. Takes me out through the entire map in 5 ticks and I have no way to run for cover.

Playing against console players in BF2042 is essentially playing against cheaters, as the aim assist is as strong as an aimbot in that game. They get rotational aim assist, 25% less recoil on every gun & the AA can lock onto you through smokes, fires and bushes, basically everything that's a vision barrier but can still be shot through. This is 100% to blame on the devs and their highly incompetent team of delusional ********* who've never played the game themselves in their entire life. This is absolutely not your fault and if you watch any streamer you'll see this behaviour for them, too. The game's design is terrible garbage for a reason.

Yes, I get shot very often by console players who are standing in thick smoke and shouldn't actually see me. It's truly awful.

And yes, I see it with streamers too, but it's not like it is with me. If someone starts shooting at me, 99% of the time I can't do anything.

If I shoot someone (no matter how good I am), they run away, hopping, and jumping. That's impossible for me.

For the first year or two, the game worked perfectly for me. 100+ kills every round, effortlessly. Then an update came along, and it became garbage. I don't even know why I play this crap.

By the way, I recorded the packets, but when I filter them, nothing remains.

I was playing Battlefield 1 today. The desync and input lag is there but bit less so on 24 player servers. Actually playable most times.
For some reason today while I had a YouTube video playing or finished in the background on firefox, I was doing well and top fragger for few games. Then closed firefox and played another round. I couldn't do anything to the same players in the server this time. Dying super fast. Now almost bottom fragger Then went back to firefox with youtube playing and now was back to being a top fragger. This shit is weird man
