Hey there,
I like the idea of the Retrotink 4K because of its features like BFI or CRT beam simulator. I wish it would support higher resolutions and framerates for input and output but it has some bandwidth limitations.
I'm a web developer and very interested in such devices and I wish there could be custom solutions for not only PC but basically every HDMI device like PS5 or Switch 2. Are there any devices that are programmable for my (and possibly others) needs? For instance I found the Chroma HDMI Module A223814, and I wonder if that would be such a device that could manipulate HDMI input signals in a flexible way (for example inserting Black frames, simulate CRT beams) for different input and output (for example 4K60 to 1440p165 as I own an LG G5 OLED supporting 165 Hz).
Motion blur is one of the most important topics for me, so I'm searching for solutions.
Programmable HDMI devices for reducing motion blur?

I read that post. That's not what I'm looking for. Not because of the price but because of the usability as you always have to boot up your PC and start the correct software to get BFI / CRT shader for PS5 gaming.

Input port (eg: HDMI, DVI...) does NOT cause motion blur but yes non-strobed or insufficient persistence time of displays.

Re: Programmable HDMI devices for reducing motion blur?
I thought about manipulating the HDMI input to reduce motion blur like modern TVs do, like displaying a frame via Quick Frame Transport at half the time and filling the other half with a black frame.

I suggest you contant chief reijon himself directly through the contact listed. He seems a pretty helpfull guy and should know. All the manufacturer stuff is in chinese so i have no idea how anyone finds out.
