hi do you know any optimization to follow for my pc. I play Valorant and Fortnite.
my specs is
CPU 9800X3D
MOTHERBOARD Msi Mpg x870e Edge Ti Wifi
GPU Gigabyte Aro 5080
RAM 64gb 6000mhz DDR5
CPU Cooling Lian Li Hydroshift 360s
SSD Samsung 990 Pro 2TB + SSD Samsung 990 Pro 1TB
Monitor Alienware 1080p 360hz 25' + Alienware 1080p 260hz 25'
Keyboard Wooting 80he 8000hz
Mouse Endgame Gear OP1 8000hz
Even with 1000fps in valorant they ferrari peak me...my mouse feels heavy..
optimization guide help
Re: optimization guide help
Nothing works for the problems you mentioned.
Re: optimization guide help
there is no optimization for input lag ?
Re: optimization guide help
There are quite a number of optimization guides but the heavy mouse feeling you mentioned won't be fixed by following them. I can state this with 99% certainty.
Re: optimization guide help
There is a lot of reasons why the mouse can feel heavy, or acting weird. For your setup you haven't listed your PSU, it could be your problem.
You could also consider getting a PCIe USB card for just your mouse, 8KHz mouse and keyboard often brings issues.
Or try unplugging the 260hz Alienware and play on the 360hz one for a bit to see if the 2nd monitor was the culprit.
Or playing without the XMP memory profile. Could be unstable XMP ram timings.
Download prime95, run a torture test with XMP timings using large FFTs for XMP and no profile timings. Run an additional Small FFTs torture test to rule out an unstable CPU overclock if you have one, you shouldn't get errors in 3 or 4 passes.
What else... uninstall every single Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable package you have and delete the the Package Cache folder located in C:\ProgramData, do not delete the Package Cache folder first as it makes Windows unable to uninstall some of the Visual C++ packages. After this go to https://www.techpowerup.com/download/vi ... all-in-one, click Download, install each visual c++ .exe in ascending order.
Reset your router to default settings and configure it again.
Or flash a newer BIOS version, this one is the riskiest thing you can do if for whatever reason you lose power while flashing, as it can cause your motherboard to bootloop or not function at all. Safest way to flash a newer bios version is to get an uninterruptible power supply and flash your BIOS that way, it doesn't take long, 5-7 minutes.
Edit: Flashing a newer or same BIOS version again is like formatting an SSD or usb stick, take photos of anything you modified in the BIOS if you have. An exported BIOS profile will possibly bring back the issue.

Re: optimization guide help
good advice.
for the 98003xd and x870e chipset i would recommend get usb4 usb c cables for mouse and keyboard and plug them into the 2x usb c 40 Gbps
i/o ports. connecting them directly to the cpu. no guarantee this will work 100% but this way u achieve best possible latency.
Re: optimization guide help
1. There is ZERO reason to run 1000 fps in any game. Most games were never designed to run such high fps and this leads to all kind of problems. Limit your FPS. I limit to 480 when using 240 Hz screen. You should not be at GPU bottleneck if you care for input lag anyways.
2, There is zero reason to run 8k pooling rate. Again most games are bugged af. I use 2k and very few games work fine with 4k. I haven't found a single game which worked fine with 8k.
3. Why would you use wired mouse in 2025? Makes absolutely zero sense. If i would have to drag a cord around i'd also have a 'heavy' feeling too. Using bungie or not.
4. Do you run some bs like 400 DPI? bump this to at least ~1600, too low dpi causes unnecesary input lag

Peekers advantage has nothing to do with with your input lag. I suggest you do a read on the topic.they ferrari peak me
