Separate area for niche lag issues including unexpected causes and/or electromagnetic interference (ECC = retransmits = lag). Interference (EMI, EMF) of all kinds (wired, wireless, external, internal, environment, bad component) can cause error-correction latencies like a bad modem connection. Troubleshooting may require university degree. Your lag issue is likely not EMI. Please read this before entering sub-forum.

Holy s**t i fixed it!

Post by adrian_13371 » 23 Aug 2025, 06:41

After 3 years of searching through forums for a 'floaty' mouse fix, a 240Hz monitor not feeling smooth, being super blurry, and my PC overall being inconsistent, I finally found out what the issue was. We have a small TV antenna on our balcony. Yesterday, I just unplugged it from the power strip, and all of the issues above went away. I'm blown away that such a small antenna was causing so much interference that my PC, monitor, and mouse were literally unusable. It feels like I'm playing a completely different CS2 right now :D

Always hillarious to see threads like this. See you in few more days when the problem comes back. 1 day is not enough to come to any conclusions how people here haven't realized that dealing with this problem and still jumping to early conclusions is beyond me.

I experienced this when I first unplugged old paddle box in the kitchen , it came back after 2 days .
Than when I unplugged air condotioner for the first time it got a lot better , than it came back after a week or smth.

One might think some resonance issue going on or intel mei messing with us vs . Pff
