Far Cry 3 Strange G-Sync behavior

Post by Oubadah » 05 Dec 2014, 18:28

Has anyone noticed this: Any panning conducted with the mouse is smooth and G-Sync appears to be functioning correctly, however if it's vehicle-driven panning (mouse is static, but camera being turned by the vehicle), there is significant stutter. I'm using a 60Hz max display, and this effect only happens when the framerate is below 60fps. If 60fps is sustained, then vehicle-driven pans are as smooth as mouse-driven pans.

Might be an issue with the driver or the game itself. Far Cry 3 has always been stuttery or at least the last time I played it it was. I had a similar issue that you are having with Far Cry 3 with Crysis 3 but it was fixed in the next driver update.
