New motion blur reduction ReShade shader - CRT Dusha

Ask about motion blur reduction in gaming monitors. Includes ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur), NVIDIA LightBoost, ASUS ELMB, BenQ/Zowie DyAc, ToastyX, black frame insertion (BFI), and now framerate-based motion blur reduction (framegen / LSS / etc).

Thanks for creating this and sharing on here! I played some "Pumpkin Jack" (a PS1/2 style 3d action game) at 120hz with this on, and I really liked how it looked and felt in motion. Next up will be some Dark Forces Remastered.

I saw that you've tested the shader on the Steam Deck OLED. Your github advises to `Use 2 frames per decay to avoid flicker at 90Hz`. Are there any other settings you've preferred using on the Deck?

Phase Jumps/Phase Flip/Frame Drop, will. Will add as an option for convenience.
I noticed you just added this feature on github. Thank you!

I now owe you the $100 open source code bounty, that I promised you for LCD Saver.

(Note: The $250 Stretch Goal for non-divisibles, remains open, doable if you just happen to have a masters degree in math, or at least the more advanced math involved. I'll keep that bounty open for over 365 days from today thru Dec 31, 2026. I have no expectations you will take the stretch goal, but I leave the Stretch Goal open to you, as a courtesy)

How do you prefer to be paid?
Reminder.

Contact me via fully authenticated means (your github email, or send me a private message on this forum, or directly email mark [at] blurbusters.com with authenticated proof of your identity) and I'll dispense your earned $100 open source bounty by one of a selection of transfer services!

Hello, I was hoping you could help me with figuring out what I'm doing wrong as I can't seem to notice any difference in motion clarity after tweaking multiple of the settings.
I'm not sure whether this is user error on my part, or something else.

Context:
I'm using a 4k 144hz monitor, I've got HDR enabled, and I'm in 10 bit.
VRR is enabled in my OSD and Nvidia Control Panel, Vsync on by driver level, and I've got my FPS capped to 142 in Nvidia Control Panel.
GPU is a RTX 3080.

The "Frames per Effect" parameter is basically at 4 for me, with constant flickering. Even at 2 for "Frames per Effect" I get a flicker every second or so.

I'm puzzled because my frametimes are rock solid at 7.04ms, and my GPU is only at about 30%~ utilization. I've got low latency + boost on. So I don't think it's hardware?

I've tried Halo 1 in the Master Chief Collection, and FEAR. I'm using SpecialK for HDR injection, and then using reshade injection by SpecialK.
I figured maybe it was SpecialK, but even using just Reshade alone, I still have the same issues.

I previously used Shaderglasses BFI implementation, so thats my frame of reference for this. Dusha being on or off provided no discernible difference in motion clarity for me.

I have not tested it myself, but I am hearing users use Reshadeck with the ShaderGlass port, on a 90Hz OLED Steam Deck now.

I presume this could work with CRT Dusha too.
