Hardware/Electricity/Drivers

Separate area for niche lag issues including unexpected causes and/or electromagnetic interference (ECC = retransmits = lag). Interference (EMI, EMF) of all kinds (wired, wireless, external, internal, environment, bad component) can cause error-correction latencies like a bad modem connection. Troubleshooting may require university degree. Your lag issue is likely not EMI. Please read this before entering sub-forum.

Hardware/Electricity/Drivers

Hi there, this is just a friendly reminder to stop wasting time doing useless tweaks on bios, registry, and all other nonsense stuff that lot of you love to invest tons of hours, for NOTHING/diminishing results/gains and often just making things worse and creating an unstable gaming system.

The only 3 useful things that really matters are 3 elements>

Hardware> Its not about 9800x3d paired with a 5090 thing, just hardware with no malfunctions and BALANCED. Powerful gpus with weak cpus and viceversa, unstable ram timmings, unstable/way too aggressive undervolts/OC on both gpu and cpu, mediocre psus with cheap components inside, just for name a few...

Drivers> One simple bad driver can screw your entire gaming experience, not always the newest driver is the best one and not always the motherboard drivers are the best, DONT take anything like a dogma and test for yourself. Do a clean os install and try motherboard drivers from the vendor page, do another clean windows install and try just windows drivers from w11 updates, and go to test your games/latency, responsiveness feeling etc.

Electricity> This problem is 100% real, is dirty juice messing badly with your hardware, this problem can make a pro player play like a total amateur and you cant do almost anything, because the problem is often originated from your entire block/neighborhood/town, neighbors....

When i was younger i was really goods at FPS games, always on the 3 first spots of the scoreboard, receiving hackusations everyday, always stomping servers with lot of kills and points and the only two things that always changed: 1- ALLL settings in game to low, no gsync/vsync 2- xmp/expo enabled, NOTHING more, my windows always full of bloatware, weather stuff, xbox/game bar and almost 200 processes in the background lol, just with good positioning on the map and my reaction time, thats it. Today my level is not that good anymore, old age+third world internet+bad electricity are wreaking havoc with my performance, and still wiping the floor with lot of zoomers in fps games

Some of the best players of the world dont even know how to change stuff in the bios, they just turn their pcs on and start playing and totally shredding people in valorant, cod, battlefield, cs2 etc.
