Game optimizer release for Windows plus obscure CPU setting
I decided to release a program I vibe coded some time ago and made some changes in the meantime and noticed positive changes in every game I play, so I put it up: https://github.com/Hyyote/DARKSTAR. It's been simplified since the first version so anyone using it only has to type in the name of the game .exe with or without the .exe part.
e.g. cs2 / cs2.exe
Then it will take a couple of seconds or even up to a minute for every game and background thread to be detected and optimized.
The other thing I wanted to mention is the setting "setx MKL_DEBUG_CPU_TYPE" which is a Windows environment-variable command used to override how Intel’s Math Kernel Library (MKL) detects the CPU regardless of being Intel/AMD (supposedly this pnly matters for AMD but I check everything regardless).

Is the effect temporary ? How long has it been working good for you?

Thank you for your efforts but does it undo all the changes as soon as I close the program or no? Also, you need to execute as admin then leave it in the background each time you play, right?
Btw I think the Darkstar.exe icon is missing, can't find it..
Edit: Nvm found the exe icon in a separate section.

You put the .exe and the .ini in the same folder and you launch the program. It has to be running in the background and with the default configuration you will see the background close if the game is correctly detected.
To answer another question this is not a temporary thing, at least not for me.

Very interesting program. Going to test it out today on CS2. Specs are 9950x3d 5090. Are there any specific config settings you would tweak for AMD specifically? Or any settings/bios tweaks that would interfere with this?

@Hyote I run it as an administrator and it just shows an empty CMD window. Is this is normal?

Look.
Download DARKSTAR.exe and darkstar.ini and place them in the same folder.
Open darkstar.ini.
Where you see "cs2" replace it with the game you'll be playing.
For example, replace "cs2" with "bf6" (in three places).
Save and launch the game.
Your Explorer will close, meaning everything is working.
