You can enable motion interpolation to reduce stutter and persistence blur for 24p content but with artifacts and the soap opera effect which some people dislike. Maybe you can apply Motion Pro on top of that to further reduce blur, but I'm not sure if that's possible. Motion Pro alone for itself does not work because the LG C1 does not support flicker at 24 Hz. It has to be at least 50 Hz, either by having such content or by artificially increasing your frames with frame interpolation.derekchan wrote: β09 Jan 2026, 00:54Mai I ask why motion pro bfi canβt solved 24p stutter 41.67ms presistance blur, the panning shot look much better on 10ms gtg lcd but not 3ms gtg lg oledJimProfit wrote: β30 Dec 2025, 20:50At 50/60hz, You can only do Motion Pro High. Auto, Low and Medium only strobe at 100/120hz.
A combination of 120hz Motion Pro (at any setting) + ShaderBeam (2 sub-frames for 60fps content) can potentially look great, since you have enough tools at your disposal to strike the best motion/brightness balance for your content.
Edit: You mean you're having trouble setting the PC output to 60hz?
Maybe it's driver related or something? On my (outdated) NVidia control panel, I know that 60hz is in the top category or resolutions (Ultra HD, HD, SD) and the 120hz mode is buried lower in the "PC" category.
How to set lg c1 run at 60hz bfi for 60fps >60hz input?

Pvm2541 support 24p flicker free but not for c1Baron of Sun wrote: β09 Jan 2026, 03:03You can enable motion interpolation to reduce stutter and persistence blur for 24p content but with artifacts and the soap opera effect which some people dislike. 24p>24hz bfi strobe =no double image
Does 2541 can 24hz bfi related to it has multi panel refresh rate?

I don't know the PVM2541. Flicker free is not possible with 24 Hz BFI. 24 Hz BFI flickers as hell.

1. VR headsets use strobing or rolling scan to reduce persistence because it is very important to avoid motion sickness. Strobing can hide slow GtG response times on LCD and despite potential crosstalk the persistence only depends on the strobing pulse width which is less than 1 ms on some headsets.derekchan wrote: β11 Jan 2026, 03:31

2. Some game makers don't focus on performance and there develop 30 fps. If they could optimize the game to let's say 45 fps that would be very bad on displays because it does not fit into 60 Hz containers and there was no VRR back then. For best motion clarity CRT wins over Plasma but you are right with the double image issues.
For the rest of your questions I have no information and cannot answer properly.

can i askderekchan wrote: β03 Jan 2026, 01:30May I ask how a 60hz 6ms gtg non gsync freesync lcd has crt motion dream and no tearing stuttering?Baron of Sun wrote: β02 Jan 2026, 08:571. Depends on what you mean by panel refresh. Actually in your 60 fps input with BFI high the panel refreshes 120 times per second: 60 times the pixel update from your input frame and another 60 times to disable the pixels around 3 ms after their last update, so you get about 3 ms persistence. With 120 fps input and Medium its equivalent: 120 updates per second due to your input frames and another 120 updates to disable the pixels.derekchan wrote: β02 Jan 2026, 01:56can i ask thank youBaron of Sun wrote: β01 Jan 2026, 14:39
You can. It then flickers with 60 Hz and you get great motion clarity. But you'd also skip every second frame from your 120 fps input. For best input lag and less flicker for your eyes I'd recommend using Motion Pro Medium. I'm not entirely sure but I think Medium at 120 fps has little more persistence (less motion clarity) than High at 60 fps.
if input 60hz to c1 plus high bfi, does panel refresh 60frame per time ? if input 120hz the panel refresh 120frame per time right?
because digital display has fixed refresh cycle like input 24hz to 120hz tv, 24 will multiply 5 to 120 to match the native hz.
Why does high bfi not good for 120hz input ? high bfi is faster motion than medium.
2.if i display has maximum 175hz refresh rate for displayport input but 120hz for hdmi input
how does 120hz match the native 175hz?
does it similiar with 60hz mode 120hz mode on c1?
3.if a specsheet of display doesn't feature 1080p 24hz but 1080p 120hz
is it good for playback 23.976p video? because 120hz is not equal to 119.88hz
for displayport it feature 3440x1440 119.99hz though
BFI High on 120 fps input is fine if the 60 Hz flicker of BFI does not disturb you. Test it out and you will see. My brain accommodates quite well to the 60 Hz flicker.
2. I don't know which display with 175 Hz you are talking about, but it might be possible it has a 120 Hz mode that activates when it receives a 120 fps input. It's the same with the C1 which can display 50 Hz content as well.
3. If the spec sheet doesn't list 23.976 Hz, I'd assume some frames are just dropped after some time, but I don't know. And even if the display supports 1080p at 120 Hz, it is not guaranteed that it renders 24 Hz correctly by doing 5:5 pulldown. Not every display supports that. It is common for consumer televisions (at least high end) afaik, but it might be different with monitors because their use case typically is not watching movies.
To enable fasync and software based bfi?
2.Are ps5 frame capped game title use v sync or frame limiter? like rtss to lock gpu render certain fps ?
3.to strobe 30fps>60hz signal on retrotink,how do i force ps3 output 30fps>30hz but not 60hz?
4.how do i know lg c1 use rolling scan or global scan?
how c1 accpet 100hz bfi because 120hz can't divide by 100hz?
as you mention 120hz tv process 60hz signal with bfi cause 60 multiply by 2 equal to 120

Re: How to set lg c1 run at 60hz bfi for 60fps >60hz input?
50 Hz is the typical refresh rate for TV broadcast in PAL regions such as many countries in Europe. This is why many consumer televisions support both 50 and 60 Hz and also 100 and 120 Hz (at least in Europe). I don't know if that's different in the USA or other NTSC countries. Maybe they only support 60 and 120.
As the LG C1 supports VRR it is obviously capable of refreshing the pixels at any refresh rate within its VRR range. The only thing that restricts the allowed fixed input frequencies is the implementation of supported formats. Theoretically the LG C1 could support all fixed refresh rates within its VRR range but typically they decide to implement only common frequencies like 23.976, 24, 29.97, 30, 48, 50, 59.94, 60, 100 and 120 Hz.

1.how could a non vrr 60hz display to play 50hz video signal? i mean how does 50hz sync with 60hz ?Baron of Sun wrote: β19 Jan 2026, 09:0550 Hz is the typical refresh rate for TV broadcast in PAL regions such as many countries in Europe. 2.render 60fps with 120hz output to tv can reduce input lag, does it still have 16.67ms of 60hz frame hold time?
3.Does 60hz bfi of c1 based on 120hz refresh cycle of c1? Is it possible to process 60hz input signal bfi within a true 4k 60hz refresh cycle tv?
because you have mention 60hz input will refresh twice within 120hz lg c1
i am confused if it a native 120hz can actually downclock to 60hz
and really want to know if the panel can switch its refresh rate from 120 to 60 if input a 60hz signal with bfi enabled
4.what is the difference between render 60fps with 60hz output and render 60fps with 120hz output to 4k 120hz tv?
some said 60fps>120hz output can reduce input lag
for 60fps>60hz the tv will repeat per frame twice,as 60fps >120hz the grahic card of pc will repeat per frame twitch
