The Real Secret of Smoothness

This subforum is for advanced users only. This separate area is for niche or unexpected lag issues such as electromagnetic interference (EMI, EMF, electrical, radiofrequency, etc). Interference of all kinds (wired, wireless, external, internal, environment, bad component) can cause error-correction (ECC) latencies like a bad modem connection, except internally in a circuit. ECC = retransmits = lag. Troubleshooting may require university degree. Your lag issue is likely not EMI.

Re: The Real Secret of Smoothness
Because other devices are not nearly as sensitive as modern computers. There is a special error-correcting protocol in computing, which activates when the electricity on +12 and +5 rails is not clean, and this causes all kind of lagging.
Oven, stove, AC, water heater, washing machine, fridge etc., those devices don't give a crap about neutrals, ground loops, impendance, they are going to work normally even on a shitty wiring, in the worst case it would occasionally blow the fuse.
For example, if the neutral or ground wire is leaking current, then it would find the ground through your desk, PC and monitor cases, cables etc., and in this case no PSU in the world can "fix" this.

Between 5β6β7β8 AM it feels noticeably better compared to normal β responsiveness improves a bit. Itβs still not buttery smooth, but the stuttering is reduced and my mouse movements feel sharper and more precise.MK92 wrote: β25 Jan 2026, 14:03Does it get better at night, or are you problems 24/7 the same? For me it doesn't even feels like 60hz, it literally feels 55hz or less during the day, but late at night it suddenly becomes normal, the colours are vibrant and sharp, text is very sharp, mouse is moving fast and without a shadow trace...but during the day its fucking impossible to even use a PC because my eyes hurts, even closing a tab in firefox in so choppy and stuttery, like it needs 3 different frames and animations to complete it. And websites are also loading slower, even though the speedtest shows no slowdown or high ping.
However, during the afternoon or evening, everything becomes terrible again. The stutter, the input response β all of it gets really bad. It genuinely feels like Iβm not using a 240 Hz monitor, but something closer to 75 Hz. And instead of playing at 800β900 FPS, it feels like 100 FPS.

I havenβt tried Linux yet, but people who have tested it say there is a real, noticeable difference. That makes me wonder if the issue could be on the DWM side.rnk0 wrote: β23 Jan 2026, 16:39Have you tried Linux?
I'm a CS2 player with 9800x3D and RTX 5090.
I get about 20% better 1% lows on Linux (Cachyos) in CS2 compared to Windows.
I overall get a lot less micro-stuttering or random lag-spikes than in Windows.
It might just be Windows guys. A lot of your explanations don't make much sense. 600 Fps should never feel like 75. But if it's super choppy (which is something I experienced, especially under Windows 11 in certain games with G-Sync)...that's another story. 1% lows are very bad in that case.
In PresentMon, dwm.exe is running in Legacy Hardware mode, and the average FPS shows around 27β30, with frame times of 120β130 ms. Iβm wondering if this could be affecting the overall smoothness and responsiveness.

The words DWM and Linux should be blacklisted on this particular forum. Why do new people come up with the same bullshit ideas? We tested them over and over again and the same problems appear without DWM and on any version of Linux.zENNy wrote: β05 Feb 2026, 14:50I havenβt tried Linux yet, but people who have tested it say there is a real, noticeable difference. Hey dude @Hyyote Love your stuff.
Could you help me with something?
I would love to have a custom .ISO from you with these settings.
I can't work out how to use N-lite properly.
Windows 10 IoT LTSC 22h2. Fully Debloated and tweaked. Game Friendly. Does not Aggravate Game Anti Cheat detection.
en-us_windows_10_iot_enterprise_version_22h2_x64_dvd_51cc370f.iso i Found this do i add that to N-lite?
Then add your autoXML and just create iso?
or would it cause a glitch and malfunction with your xml settings?
Otherwise Could you Pretty please make me a custom ISO? i got this but i carn't find a script to download the language packs for it?.. en-US
Google this > win-jg10-2122h2-ltsc- final its in polish. hardcoded..
Looks good? but i was going to see if yours might be better ..

First I have to state two things:
my ISOs don't work with a lot of games and launchers due to missing components (missing MediaPlayer components = no Rockstar games) and also BattleNet, UbisoftConnect, apps like CPU-Z, Firefox based browswrs and so on.
Secondly I could send you an ISO but it is against the law and even though no one cares to enforce it, I still wouldn't want to be in the grey zone of legality.
en-us_windows_10_iot_enterprise_version_22h2_x64_dvd_51cc370f is a very outdated ISO and there's no point in using IoT LTSC in that case. I haven't tested the latest .XML which is called winxi.xml on every version but I generally use my presets on both Windows 10 and 11. For the language pack issue, couldn't you just download the regular Polish version of 22H2 from Massgrave?
So the process is:
- download an untouched Windows ISO (I recommend the regular 22H2 from Massgrave or 26H1 from UUPDump) - extract it, drag the extracted folder into NTLite
- load the image, just drag in the .XML and apply it
- right click on the image, Explore mount directory and copy my power plan in the C:\ folder
It should work in theory. Also look at the Components tab and see if there are version specific System Apps that the XML doesn't remove.
Edit: also thanks for the kind words.

Just Wondering what do you mean by it breaks the rules?
Like posting it here?
Im not into cheats for gaming so I'm trying pretty hard to get something more custom for gaming.
Debloated to the bones. Like yours cause i know you go quite far with some things.
i just take some of your tweaks that still make things work. Has all requirements for anti-cheats to work.
I see there is now 26h1 & 26h2..
Just Love having stuff removed i or we dont use.
Love all my components being able to use everything efficiently.
Also i tested your nvida latest tweak but it made my screen refreash rate change to somthing that is 240? when its best and max is 300..
was abit choppy..
anyway keep up the good stuff.

Thanks, the updated tweaks folder should be a good base for tweaks now. Unfortunately I only had a few stuff left over for NVIDIA when I had a 2070 so it's really just whatever I could put there.CSMC wrote: β26 Feb 2026, 23:00Hyote wrote: β08 Feb 2026, 06:51CSMC wrote: β07 Feb 2026, 17:23Hey dude @Hyyote Love your stuff.
