CS2 RAM Timing HELP pls

Everything about latency. This section is mainly user/consumer discussion. (Peer-reviewed scientific discussion should go in Laboratory section). Tips, mouse lag, display lag, game engine lag, network lag, whole input lag chain, VSYNC OFF vs VSYNC ON, and more! Input Lag Articles on Blur Busters.

CS2 RAM Timing HELP pls

Post by wasted42 » 14 Feb 2026, 00:29

Hi guys, in this post (viewtopic.php?t=15265 ) I described my issue along with my PC and equipment specs. In the end, it turned out that the problem was not related to scaling.

Now I’m opening this topic in hopes that someone can help me with RAM timings, since I’ve heard they are very important for CS2. Even if they don’t fix the issue, maybe they can at least improve overall game performance.

These are my current timings - default EXPO1 profile.

My RAM: Kingston DDR5 16GB 6000MHz CL30 (2x16GB).

I need someone knowledgeable to tell me whether these timings (and everything shown in the screenshot) are correct, or if something should be changed. If changes are recommended, which timings should I try adjusting?

My PC:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 16GB
Motherboard: MSI MAG B850 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI
PSU: Lian Li 1200W Edge 80PLUS Gold (PCIe 5.1, ATX 3.1, USB Hub)
SSD: Samsung M.2 NVMe 9100 PRO Series 1TB

What's your latency in aida64 and intel mlc?
Try these:
Trefi max, should be 65535
Trfc 400
Trc 60
Trrds 4
Trrdl 6
Tfaw 16

If it boots get buildzoid's subtimings (https://youtu.be/dlYxmRcdLVw)
And update agesa to 1.3 with rfm disabled

Post zentimings afterwards and try occt ram stress test for 1h

No one can give you a exact memory timing profile which will be reliable across every different IMC bin. Absolutely no one on the market.
You haven't provided what you're experiencing in a proper, concrete manner.
No, "floaty mouse" isn't a relevant metric or a symptom which can help anything.
Just run EXPO disabled and play, if you want to skip ahead hours of unnecessary troubleshooting.
Or better yet, sell your motherboard, PSU, DRAM & SSD and get something better (8 PCB layer motherboard, low radiated noise PSU, WD SN8100 or Optane, proper coolng, ECC SECDED UDIMMs/DRAM etc.)
You haven't mentioned the peripherals you use & software tuning you've done (GPU driver version, OS version etc.)

I hope you're also using FSE & Reflex in CS2.

There's also always the possibility of your hardware being defunct (<0,5% chance)

You're beyond clueless. This is completely ill advice based on complete ignorance on how these computer architecture works.
Seek help in form of reading computer architecture books and something of substance instead of reading garbage.

Alright edgelord, since you're such an expert: next time try explaining why instead of just talking trash. Add something useful to the thread for once. The guy asked for help with his RAM, and giving the default oc timings for those die's is literally where you start. If you have a better idea, let's hear it

He should just read guide or watch how improve memory ram , giving him max possibile value is stupid. To the OP watch/read about min/max value, strees test , benchmark and learn nothink more then learn how its work. Every mobo CPU and ram are different
