1) I didn't make that generalised claim. Further, the burden of proof is on you to provide evidence for the specific tweaks you are talking about.
2) This thread is explicitly about modern ryzen systems.
3) No those people aren't stupid to me, I believe their symptoms are real but because of the culture around tweaking, they aren't able to properly diagnose and test their systems and fixes. It's very possible to have 5 different people all complaining about input lag, but for each of them to be experiencing something completely different because they aren't showing a test or being descriptive enough about their symptoms
4) Your claim about ryzen cpus having an input lag issue should be easy enough to test or provide real evidence of right? "because of infinity fabric and dual ccd design" is not a full explanation.
5) I think I can conclude I don't lack perspective - you are not properly reading the messages you are replying to for whatever reason.
6) See point 1 again, and maybe the previous messages.
You replied to my reply and said everything i mentioned is folklore. No explanation. Just that it's folklore. Sounds like a generalized claim to me. I don't need to provide proof of anything. Google is your friend, a quick search will tell you exactly what it does and how it has a positive impact. They are documented settings. Proof won't change an ignorant persons mind when they lack perspective. I've provided proof disproving a person claims before. They denied it. Ryzen cpu's infinity fabric does hurt input latency because of context switching between ccd's. Google is your friend.

For the record this is what I responded to

You don't understand how it works. Interrupts are called interrupts because it interrupts the CPU and stops everything else to see what the device wants. For example, it interrupts the game loop. At 8000hz, that's a lot. FYI frame gen and game loops run at independent frequencies of each other.
Input latency is an accumulative problem that has a large range of possible causes. Your debunk of just do nothing is nonsense.
Edit: Also nothing in my reply is "folklore". Spread spectrum is not folklore, we all know what it does. Win32prioritySeperation is not folklore. Its well documented how it can affect your machines latency and performance. It's advance windows settings hidden from the normal user. Connection to cpu vs chipset is not folklore, it's fact that cpu connection is more direct and faster than the southbridge. Southbridge's purpose is to handle slower things so cpu can focus on the faster stuff. Why do the manufacturers even have a set of ports direct to the cpu and a set to the southbridge? There must be a reason....
and you have extrapolated it to 'you dont believe in tweaking' and 'you lack perspective' and 'google is your friend', similar to conspiracy theorists and anti vaxxers. Thank you for turning a potentially useful thread into a flame war, while not being able to provide anything of substance.

Your post just seemed exactly the kind of folklore this thread is trying to dispel - where is the data for those tweaks? Have there been actual experiments using those tweaks on modern hardware? Or is it being carried over from testing done years and years ago with a completely different OS and harware landscape? Probably.

Yes, and none of the questions asked were responded to. 'Folklore' is accurate until then and is not a generalised claim.
