You run it and hopefully it works as it should and after a few seconds it picks up game threads and optimizes background processes as well. There will be variability at all times obviously but if you just read the description instead or tried the program, there wouldn't be a single question here. Shouldn't there be any games running while this program is running, like CS2? Doesn't this program change game priorities and threads?Hyote wrote: ↑06 Mar 2026, 07:14I took the script down and embedded the function into my program like I mentioned earlier. Re: Trying to keep variable input lag at bay
Thanks, I tried this program, and it definitely reduces input lag a little. But it doesn't significantly improve gaming performance. In any case, the program doesn't solve the issue of variable input lag after repeatedly pressing the DPI button on the mouse. I think all mice have a sleep mode or power saving levels for the mouse sensor (C0, C1, C2), like the processor, and when I press the DPI button, the mouse briefly switches to C0 mode.Hyote wrote: ↑07 Mar 2026, 15:58You run it and hopefully it works as it should and after a few seconds it picks up game threads and optimizes background processes as well. So far, no one has figured out why mouse input lag decreases after switching DPI modes.
