Novice question about BFI

Post by supernovae » 26 Apr 2026, 20:23

Hi,

I was wondering if BFI will produce ghosting like LCD strobing when you have lower fps than your refresh rate?

Ghosting will be replaced by a double-image effect. The source of the double-image effect can be crosstalk (due to LCD pixel ghosting), or because the frame rate is lower than the refresh rate. See:

Hi, double image and ghosting is for LCDs right? BFI is a black framr inserted in between, what happens when the fps is lower than the refresh rate in OLED case?
