adaptative VSYNC on amd gpu

Post by bapt337 » 03 May 2026, 16:48

Hi,

I would like to find a way to use adaptative Vsync on amd gpu (6800 xt) like it does on nvidia gpu, mean vsync enable when fps go above refresh rate and disable when fps go under. i want use it on 4k 60hz TV. no VRR.

Many people say enhanced sync is the same but it doesnt lock your fps to your monitor refresh rate when it go above and then it kill the smoothness. adaptative sync from nvidia just lock it to refresh rate as regular vsync when its above and disable when go under to avoid the sudden drop to 45-30 fps (for 60hz refresh rate).

Amd dont include this in adrenaline so i guess there is no way but well im asking because we never know.

cheers.
