Yesterday i finally fixed my input lag / desync / “heavy, floaty mouse” issue — and it turned out to be something I didn’t expect at all: my electrical wiring.

I opened my junction boxes and wall outlets and found loose connections and some old, dirty WAGO connectors. A few wires weren’t properly secured, which likely caused small instability in power delivery. I cleaned things up, replaced the worn connectors, and made sure everything was tightly and correctly connected.

After that, the difference was immediate — smooth input, no more floaty feeling, and everything feels responsive again.

If you’ve tried all the usual software and hardware fixes with no success, it might be worth checking your electrical connections. Bad or loose wiring can cause subtle issues that are easy to overlook.

Everything is ok since then...
Of course the wiring is the problem in like 95% of cases lol, but just wait that some schizo admin / mod comes and say that those are niche issues and it should not be allowed to talk about there, because we have 10+ people which fully fixed the problems by fixing the neutral wires and other wiring problems, and meanwhile we have 0 people which fixed the problems by fiddling with windows bios cmd regedit settings.

High impedance, neutral drift, floaty neutral, or simply worn oxidized connectors, those are ALWAYS the cause for each and every problem in this forum, and not some obscure random useless BIOS setting.

I know none of those 10+ people but I am one that fixed input lag at least by doing correct BIOS and Windows settings. And what matters is mostly on the Windows side.

You are in a huge minority then, because to have a normal functional PC, you are NOT required to change 100 bios and windows settings, if your hardware is not broken, if you have clean electricity, you just install windows, flash default bios settings, and install only nvidia drivers and change nothing else, and your PC would work perfectly fine...imagine thinking that you need to have some in-depth knowledge and change some advanced niche settings to have a normal working PC, freaking lmao...if that would be the case, then 1 billion people which never changes anything in BIOS would have our problems and non-functional computers, but they don't.

Is there a way we could talk on discord? I also believe that software side has a huge impact.

What do you have in Windows 11 Automatic Color Management? on or off?
