Hi,
sorry I have to ask this, I watched your video, but I am still not sure if I get it 100% right, what your problem is?
Can you explain it again, and how you check if you have it in other games too?
I do not play your main game, I have some problems in my fav game for a very long time and since about 8-10 month
it is getting worse and worse. Also tried 1000 things here, and I aslo start to blame my monitor here. Never liked
my new monitor from day one (was late to send it back;))
My monitor is MSI 274qrf-qd 165hz QHD ips, will never understand why reviews are soo good, my old Viewsonic 144hz
QHD ips was sooo much better. I know stupid to upgrade from 144 top 165hz lol. Viewsonic was broken.
I came from Intel 13600k, always blamed hybrid cpu, but now I am on 9800x3d + 5070ti and it made everything worse.
As I say my problem might be totally different from yours (new provider now, have to test exitlag, maybe here bad routing,
or my flat is the problem lol).
My text might sound I have no clue about PC's, but that is not the case, you might know too, when you have a problem
for years, you pretty fast become an expert automatically. Players with no problems most of the times know nothing.;)

So short, just wanna make sure I do not post any nonsense here, and wanna understand your problem 100% right.
My problem is also weird, short the more I test the more weird it gets, nothing logical here. First thought NVMe is broken,
or interrupt conflict, sheduler problems, finally new pc, cause I was sure in the end it's cpu (degraded).
The only good thing about new pc is, now I finally know everything was ok with my old rig lol.
you can see my problem in other games too if you want

I only skimmed through the posts. But from the gist of it, seems like your issue is that you're changing your settings too often. Changing fov and resolutions will naturally throw off your aim. Because you have to compensate to the different fov and resolutions with your mouse sensitivity. Your mouse sensitivity will not scale with your fov and resolution changes.

Among all my games I play, I always make sure that the settings match. For example if you play 1 game with a different set of settings from another. Your muscle memory is going to adapt to the first game. When switching to the second game where the sensitivity/resolution is different. Your muscle memory is adapted to the first game and it'll throw off your aim. Also with a tighter fov, you have to move your mouse more vs if you have a wider fov, where you have to move your mouse less to cover the same screen space.

im not going to respond to someone that only skimmed through things and didnt actually watch anything whatsoever. in my videos i showcase i change 1 thing. my fov from 72,73. or 72 to 71. although this is irrelevant because 72 was not working, i just change the fov to showcase for the vid but i didnt need to, it would have not worked either way. in the finals vid i go back to same fov just to specifically showcase for people like you that it wouldn't have mattered anyway. i kept same resolutions across all games for people that would say things like this. the issue is that the game feels different everyday, nothing would have worked, me changing things is to fix my game, i know your random bs is irrelevant to my issue talking about "im use to" no i played 1920x1080p for thousands of hours, game feels different, swaps res to try and fix, game feels better on random res ive never used before. next day it feels same as old res. do not try to tell me things are "placebo" or the "brain psychology sees things different because this or that is bigger" bs. you dont understand my issue. aim or input response time should not be effected by resolution or fov change, especially so drastically. the game should not feel different everyday. i should not have to swap settings to "find a fix" everyday. im not even going to respond to the "your muscle memory is adapted to the first game" statement, watch the vids. Its not just that i cant play on this or that res, the issue is that it feels different on the SAME res everyday. pro players can play diff res and it doesn't matter. Im no diff from them, i should be able to too, i can tell when something is LITERALLY effecting my aim. some days i feel what everyone else feels, most days i dont. changing things sometimes allows me to feel what others feel, most the time it doesnt.

Turn down the aggression dude. Just offering some insight. It may help if you gave a better description of what your complete setup looks like.

Are you using an 8k polling mouse at 8k? If you are that could be your problem.

Have you tried this? It may give a better view of how your input is behaving. Watching clips of your gameplay doesn't really show anything.

my response wasn't towards you specifically, just anyone in general who wants to try and tell me something similarly. you may see it as aggression but i would say it again just to prove a point and get my point across. i dont really know how this test mouse rate is suppose to work. my issue happens across multiple mouses and both controller and mouse and across multiple different controllers too btw. also in hidusbf i can overclock mouse to 8k, in my mouse software i can go to 4k and i have a dongle for higher polling rate. the mouse rate says at max i get like 1793 hz. and i see that it says Desktop Jitter: The brighter yellow Game Jitter: The darker green and i do see that so is that suppose to mean that i have desktop jitters or game jitters or what.

also i dont know if this test is actually viable for my issue because my issue relates to, first of all the game doesnt feel the same everyday. so i would have to test the mouse rate and screenshot it everyday to see if its different or something. second of all, i would change things like resolutions or fov to try and get my game to work. i can change my res but not my fov so i feel like the less their is for me to be able to change the less likely im going to be able to fix it and showcase the issue. this is the case for third person games since they dont usually have a fov slider, so i can show the game not working but its hard to get it to work.

ah now i see, regardless of if this showed a consistent line of my cursor, that wouldnt be able to show you whether not it was delay or heavy or sluggish. not to mention that i feel like i have the issue in my keyboard as well, its just harder to showcase and test. but when i was playing phantom forces it felt much more responsive to slide and jump when i was able to get my game to work that is.

It's possible it may reflect your feel of the game. For example, when you feel like the game is running good and your inputs are good, run that test. Then when you know when the game feels bad and input feels bad, run that test again. Then see if there's a difference in its pattern that may develop when it does feel good and when it doesn't.

The yellow marks mean it's the reports that are synced to your frametimes. The green means your reports that are out of your frametimes. But all reports should be smooth with little gaps. You have gaps between all your frame times, so it shows something not right is going on. So you're experiencing jitter at each frame generated.

Edit: I added what mine looks like. My gaps are a lot less, and a bit more random, which i think is normal. I used to have even larger gaps. Yours is at almost every frame generated. Also your mouse report quantity is a lot higher than mine, so it should be smoother as well.

I have 2 suggestions. Until your problem is solved, keep your mouse at most 1000hz polling. Then for "cppc preferred" in your bios. Disable it, but keep "cppc" enabled. This helped to stop frame jitter for me. But I have a 5900x, I don't know if it will have the same effect on your x3d chip. Also, are you using any graphics settings that generates fake frames in your games? Fake frame generation is not recommended for real-time shooter games. The fake frames introduce a lot of delay because they are "fake".

I just wanted to say, I change my cpu from a 5800x3d to a 14600k. It did not fix the issue, I still have it. I know I do.
