Monitors similar to the BenQ Zowie and AGON CS24A/P

Post by BARGHEST » 27 May 2026, 15:53

Good evening, does anyone know of any monitors similar to the BenQ Zowie and AGON CS24A/P that support 1:1 scaling? I’ve gone through all the manuals for monitors from various manufacturers, including LG, Samsung, MSI, and Gigabyte. There’s practically no support for 1:1 scaling anywhere. Maybe you can tell me which specific model has this feature, like in the screenshot.
Before this, I was using an old LG 75GH, which had this feature, and I really enjoyed gaming on it. Now I’m using an MSI Optix G27C4 165Hz—not my best choice, as I’ve had a hard time with it—and it doesn’t have this feature. Why am I asking about alternatives? BenQ and Zowie are way too expensive for a TN panel, and the AGON CS24A/P is too bulky.

you don't have to buy a monitor with ready-made scaling settings to use 1:1, you can do it through the CRU software. But I will say that 100% of the information on the Internet about setting up CRU is incorrect.
cs24a and cs24a/p of the old revision have the old firmware and scaling is not configured.

Yeah, I've tried a lot of things in CRU, and you're absolutely right that the settings posted online are wrong—many timings just ruin the image (black screen), and overclocking does too. you can set a custom resolution to match yours, but the mouse movement is completely different from what it was on my old LG 60 Hz with a slight overclock to 75 Hz—back then, I didn’t even know what CRU was. That got me thinking: why not try to find a used or new one that doesn’t break the bank, and at the same time check if it might actually be better to buy one with scaling already configured? Many monitors are designed for GPU scaling! I’ve been playing with full-screen display scaling my whole life; all the other modes are terrible. I’m not willing to pay $425 for a TN panel, especially for a used one, which is why I asked if there might be some kind of compromise—a model with a built-in 1:1 scaler?
Maybe you can suggest the right settings or a specific monitor model?

Thank you very much. Are there any other models with a lower clock speed?

I do not know, but you can check it yourself, just look at the monitor manual.

I bought a TUF Gaming monitor (VG259QMR5A) for $180. There’s another model (VG259QMRL5A)—they’re technically identical except for the stand and a $20 price difference. both have 310 Hz and 0.3 ms response time, and most importantly, they offer 1280x960 at 310 Hz with a DisplayPort—plus the fact that they can be mounted on a VESA mount. It’s on its way; I’ll test it out when it arrives.
