PG27AQDP - can it do 1440p/360hz/8-bit over HDMI 2.1 with DSC off?

High Hz on OLED produce excellent strobeless motion blur reduction with fast GtG pixel response. It is easier to tell apart 60Hz vs 120Hz vs 240Hz on OLED than LCD, and more visible to mainstream. Includes WOLED and QD-OLED displays.

PG27AQDP - can it do 1440p/360hz/8-bit over HDMI 2.1 with DSC off?

I'm seeing conflicting things because the Rtings review of the monitor and their Monitor Results Table shows that this monitor can use 360hz with DSC off if you use HDMI 2.1, but I've read owners of this monitor say it's still only 240hz with DSC off.

Also the theoretical bandwidth limit of 1440p/360hz/8-bit is within the limit of HDMI 2.1 so technically it should be able to, but I'm not sure if this monitor can or can't do it with DSC off.

I'm considering buying this monitor, but I'd like to know for sure what it's actual refresh rate limit is with DSC off over HDMI 2.1.

Appreciate this is an insanely late reply but was looking around online for something similar. From what I've been able to use/test provided you can disable DSC then yep, 'real' HDMI 2.1 supports 360hz 1440p at 8 bit. The issue is whether it's a real HDMI 2.1 port and not one of the limited bandwidth ones.

I have an Asus XG27AQDPG (500hz 1440p) - and when I disable DSC in the OSD and use HDMI 2.1 I can create a custom res at 360hz 8 bit.

Hi, sorry for the revive too, but any of u guys have tried 420hz at 10bit on HDMI? I wanna get the Asus 480 but I don't wanna use DSC, I calculated with a website and it's like 44gbps for 420hz at 1440p 10 bit, can use guys try it?

Late post, but I'm trying to do the same - can you tell me the proper way to do it? I'm using CRU and can't seem to get 360hz to show as a value I can even choose for anything despite adding the info. Maybe doing something wrong, appreicate the help

CRU gave me all sorts of headaches so I ended up doing it in Nvidia Control Panel, created a custom resolution/refresh rate there and tested it out and it worked nicely.
