Moving from Dell S2721DGF to OLED

I've been using a Dell S2721DGF for about three years now, and while it's still a solid 1440p monitor, I've started noticing that I want something with better motion clarity and deeper blacks, especially since most of my free time is spent gaming instead of working these days. I'm leaning toward moving to OLED and have narrowed it down to the LG 27GX790A-B and the ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQDMG, but I keep going back and forth. Reviews make both look great, yet they rarely mention the little day-to-day things you only notice after living with a monitor for a while. If you've actually used one or, even better, compared both, which would you buy today and why? I'd really like to hear from people with firsthand experience before I spend that kind of money.

The XG27AQDMG is outdated now and I wouldn't recommend it (I have one.) There's better options now. Also, if you like to use VRR, then I think QD-OLED is a better option. WOLED has much worse VRR flicker. QD-OLED also has VRR flicker, but less of it.

Also, QD-OLED doesn't suffer from gamma shift at lower refresh rates. On WOLED, shadows and darker colors in general get brighter the lower the refresh rate gets. Even at fixed refresh rates, not just VRR.

On another note, I'm not sure how good of an idea it is to buy LG displays. (Or Samsung ones.) Both LG and Samsung put full operating systems into their displays, requiring online accounts and have privacy issues, and might force ads on you. Case in point for LG, which installs spyware on your PC automatically, without asking, just by connecting the display to your PC:

For monitors, I'd stick to actual monitor manufacturers like MSI, Asus, ViewSonic, etc, and not buy monitors from TV manufacturers like LG and Samsung.
