Small update on this post, we've got a few new tidbits.
Here's the XQ2566X in SoftMCCS
Namely, this portion is the most interesting bit:

New registers: 0xE0, 0xE1, 0xE2, 0xEA (Not the same names as previous DyAc models)
Identical ones to DyAc2: 0xE7, 0xE8, 0xEE, 0xED, 0xF0, 0xF4, 0xF5, 0xF7, 0xF8, 0xF9, 0xFA, 0xFB (confirmed to not adjust pulse width)

The UFO is running at 1920px/s on it's native 360Hz refresh rate setting
The one of the better frames (with slightly less contrast applied) from this video above would be:
Which implies that it's
not hitting a 0,5ms pulse on interval. This means that the pulse interval likely >18%
Perhaps 25% or larger pulse width (≤1440 Hz effective motion clarity)
It reminds me of how ULMB2 360Hz on the new XG27AQNGV looks like...
which is a extremely mediocre target for them to chase.
It's a bit on the shorter end in terms of total achievable effective motion clarity compared to it's competitors on the market.
The ASUS PG27AQN, for example, can achieve a much lower pulse on interval (PW=40) at relatively usable brightness (~150cd/m²), as seen on
1920px/s UFOs &
2400px/s UFOs
As much as this pains me to say... the ASUS PG27AQN is still king in terms of backlight strobing implementation in the 1440p space.
The effective motion clarity rivaling CRTs is too good to give up on.
If I were to loosely rank them
(don't treat this as a rule of thumb or actual reality, there's much ambiguity and extrapolation going on):
0.) CRT
Self-explanatory
1.) ASUS PG27AQN & it's other vendor derivatives
Closest to a CRT. Likely imperceptible to them in terms of total achievable eye-tracked motion clarity, without the severe detriments of CRTs such as weight, power draw, geometry issues.
1.5) AOC Q25G4SR
For some reason, AOC decided to chase a low pulse width on this model. OK-ish at 240Hz MBR=20. Unknown total brightness.
2.) ASUS XG27AQNGV & it's derivatives
Due to the 120Hz ULMB2 mode & having the ability to use VRR+strobing for fun; the 240Hz & 360Hz mode are a meme on 1.1.8; 1.1.9 makes it better, but still caged compared to predecessor)
3.) Acer XB273U GX
Maybe the UKF 300Hz model & this one can fit here, too little information is known; VRB Extreme does target <20% PW for sure
Whether G2G RT behavior can keep up? No data.
4.) Zowie/Benq XQ2566X
Likely locked down to 2 fixed pulse widths settings & seemingly mediocre effective motion clarity @ it's native refresh rate for the price they're asking are severe dealbreakers...
Titan Army P275MS Pro & MSI 274QPF X30MV
seem roughly similar in terms of effective motion clarity.
I'm undecided on where I'd rank the Titan Army P245MS Pro+ due to this video
