Gsync pulsar has indeed seen an improvement in "stickiness" to stay in pulsing mode. The clarity has indeed improved marginally where I can make out slightly more detail than before. I'm still testing but so far in wardogs I notice the image looks clearer using front edge sync locked to 120 fps (monitor OSD shows constant 120 fps) vs front edge sync locked to 144 fps (monitor OSD shows constant 144 fps with flat graph in training grounds) but reflex enabled doesn't look as clear as locking it with front edge sync in this game atm. I'm going to keep testing pulsar in all my games and then eventually move to ULMB 2 modes; still a much welcomed improvement but I'm starting to think Pulsar will never be "plug and play" until reflex (or maybe how the developers implement reflex) is handled because enabling reflex kinda ruins the clarity in some games (better than JUST Gsync but worse than Gsync pulsar + front edge sync in some titles).
Right now I rather not use reflex for the improved motion clarity in wardogs for example (Currently have it enabled with front edge sync).

Oh yes, that is a good one.
Also just tested pulsar mode, CS2 with front edge sync looks much clearer between 240 and 342 cap. Below (around 120) i dont see any difference. But it was anyway just announced to be improved between 240 and 360.
It is so clear now, its hard to imagine it could get any clearer IF it works... In normal games on Valve servers, everything is perfect.
But... if I play the workshop maps which were problematic before like the prefire aim maps, 1% lows drop to around 220 with 342 avg, still not looking good. If I reduce the rtss cap to 240 there, it looks fine, but i dont want to play 240 all the time. There must be a way to get this under control somehow. If 1% lows only reach 220, then i dont know, lower the internal cap automatically, so it still looks fine?! Tie the avg somehow to the lows? I know this is not how this works. 1% lows means there are even lower fps than that, its just statistics. And I also know lowering the cap also lowers the 1% lows as there are lower "highs". Still there should be an option to keep track of the lows and adapting the rest so it lowers the avg and stays smooth and clear.
However, by far the best firmware so far, I am really happy. That was worth the wait. It even feels a little different on Windows desktop with 360 Hz. If I follow the (weirdly large) mouse pointer the symbols in the background seem different, they feel more "strobed" than before if you know what I mean. When following the pointer it feels I see the icons sharper in my peripheral view. Its like seeing them multiple times but very clear. Wasnt the case before. The pointer itself looks the same as before and unfortunately there is still a slight ghost around it but sth. has changed.
UFO Test at fixed 360 Hz seems identical to me.

Successfully updated from 1.1.8 to 1.1.10 on my Asus G-Sync Pulsar monitor!
The new changes sound promising so looking forward to toy around with it a litte, thanks Nvidia for the great improvements so far!
Really been enjoying the way 1.1.8 has been working, it has already been pretty much flawless to me.

Oh wow thanks for the screenshot. It now shows when DSC is on. Was that the case before? I was never sure if DSC is turned off when reducing to 240 Hz (without switching to single tile mode). When I reduce to 240 Hz, the "DSC on" is gone. I think it would be better if they keep the line and say "DSC off". But well...

On windows 10 at first pulse width did nothing, then somehow works now with ulmb2, and also gsync wasn't working with NVIDIA full screen and windowed option (was working with full screen mode and gsync indicator overlay)
I think my windows 10 is stuffed, pulsar above 240fpw looked good though
The 120hz ulmb2 mode is definitely the best, by a lot imo
NVIDIA engineer recommends contrast at 88 or 87 I can't recall

Still waiting for my monitor to warm up before I try taking some photos, but first impressions I agree. 240 & 360 now look noticeably better and probably great for the average person but that 120 mode is just about the clearest thing I've ever seen. 240 & 360 modes are not quite that low persistence. Seems like maybe the persistence deviates/doesn't scale linearly on the lower end of these modes since I don't feel the PW is making the clarity increase with that amount of brightness loss. In the 360 mode I'd say around PW35 I don't really see a meaningful difference compared to PW10 despite the big brightness difference.

It does seem to be akin to my prediction here
