Post by Cloned » 24 Dec 2014, 17:47

Hey guys :),

I just bought the xl2411z from amazon and i got a v3 version. Now i tried to use the strobe utility but it doesnt work because my monitor cant get detected. I read a lot from burn in mode but i really dont know how to get there. I tried to press button 3+4 and power but it wont even turn on than. I read something that i should do it when cycling. When is this cycling moment? What else can i do ?

Unplug the monitor from power
Plug in the monitor
When the screen flashes red/green/blue that's the burn in test.
Press the menu button to bring up the menu during this time. It will allow you to turn off the burn in mode. If you don't successfully bring up a menu before the monitor finishes booting up, unplug and try again (finding the appropriate button).

If you don't get red/green/blue flashing, your burn-in is disabled.
Verify that in Device Manager the monitor is not displayed as "Generic PnP" or a wrong monitor, but as a "BENQ XL2411Z"
Some troubleshooting instructons at bottom of www.blurbusters.com/benq/strobe-utility

Let me know if this works!

// Fixed by installing the driver from the CD
