This is a long thread (21+ pages) but after reading it all, it was pointed out that intel i219v NIC on intel based board (z270, z370 and others) were having those symptoms when the Ethernet cable was plugged in.
Seems like it was an issue specifically related to those older gen boards, or motherboards manufacturers figured out how to properly implement them in newer boards, either way i can confirm that i also does not have issues like this on AM5 motherboard.

I have the same issue with my rog strix b550-f gaming motherboard with the I225-v chip (amd chipset). Whenever I unplug my ethernet, the mouse speed doubles (way more responsive) . I've tried ASIX usb to ethernet adapter. I've tried intel x210 wifi. realtek 8812AU. I think the realtek 8812au wifi adapter felt the best, but it overheats and disconnects. I'm gonna try a Marvell AQC113 and Realtek 8126 pcie ethernet cards when i get the chance and see if its any better.vnb wrote: β06 Oct 2026, 13:12This is a long thread (21+ pages) but after reading it all, it was pointed out that intel i219v NIC on intel based board (z270, z370 and others) were having those symptoms when the Ethernet cable was plugged in.
