Need advanced troubleshooting for am5

Post by Khunala » 15 Oct 2026, 14:17

Hello, good afternoon.

I wanted to give you a little background before getting straight to the point. I’ve been playing Valorant for about 4 years, and I’m Radiant. However, for some reason, after making a small upgrade to my PC, everything started going wrong. My performance got so bad that I dropped all the way down to Ascendant 2 because I couldn’t win duels anymore. I went from being MVP in almost every game to finishing near the bottom of the scoreboard most of the time, and I started playing more of a support role.

At first, I thought it was just me, but one day I got to play on my friend’s PC, and for some reason, I won the game while getting MVP on my own account. Every duel felt easy again, just like before. So, I wanted to ask if there could be something wrong with my PC or what might be causing this issue.

The issue I've noticed is that when I play on my friend's PC, I have enough time to react in gunfights. But on my PC, I just die feeling like they see me first. This didn't happen before I did the upgrade.

I’m coming from an Intel i7-10700F, RTX 2060 Super, 16GB DDR4 2933MHz, ASUS B460M-Plus WiFi, and a 600W PSU. It was a prebuilt PC I bought at Best Buy in 2021, and now I’ve built the setup I mentioned.

I've always felt that Intel is way snappier than AMD.

Went from Intel build to top tier AMD ryzen 7 9800x3d, and everything felt so bad for a long time.

Now i just got used to it (3700 elo faceit, challenger)

I had the same thing happen to me bro, I bought an alienware PC with a 3060 and some shitty intel cpu and one stick of 1x16gb ram inside, and hit immortal 3.

Then i built my own pc, starting with intel 10700k, to 11700k, to different zen 3, to now a 5950x with a 3090.

I think my alienware worked better than my self built intel PC, and intel pc worked better than AMD.

My theory is that dell/alienware or any of these pcs you can buy at bestbuy are built pretty stable. I dont know if its the grounding or the actual components, but they probably do better with bad electricity.

Then intel is probably a more stable platform than AMD.

So if you have an AMD system you built yourself it'll be the most sensitive to things like dirty electricity, so it'll show you if you have any issues in your house whether network or power
