Toggle Blur Reduction

Post by tadhgf » 04 Feb 2015, 09:50

Hi,
I bought a BenQ XL2411z yesterday. I've set it up using the Blur Buster utility and it's running at 120hz strobed with the VT1502 now. The question I have is is there anyway of toggling this setting(+ICC profile) only when playing games and using 144hz non-strobed for normal desktop tasks?

Also do the VT tricks (1350, 1500, 1502) lower the lifespan of the monitor significantly? Will a monitor using VT1350 last longer than one using VT 1502?

Thanks in advance,
Tadhg

VT tweaks have NO effect on the lifetime of the monitor. Doesn't matter if you use VT 1350 or VT 1500. VT 1500 reduces crosstalk more than VT 1350.
And you need the S switch to quickly toggle blur reduction on or off via a preset. Can't do it with a windows profile. The XL2411Z doesn't have the S-switch. You can use a hotkey video profile from a video card utility to switch windows resolutions/refresh rates.
