Hi Everyone,
Are there set to be any monitors that support both freesync AND g-sync? If so, which ones?
If not, what is the limiting factor? Is it to do with NVidia's licensing around g-sync?
Thanks in advance, I look forward to hearing from all of you.

Monitors with both G-Sync & Freesync support
There are none so far.
NV has said it has no plans to support FS, I recall. FS is AMD tech, though it is based on an open specification (Adaptive Sync) that NV could support - if they wanted to - via DP 1.2a
The G-Sync 'licensing' isn't quite the issue. Rather, NV wants to support its own proprietary solution. To support a competing technology would undermine their proprietary solution

Re: Monitors with both G-Sync & Freesync support
I get you, but I mean have NVidia got a license 'clause' if-you-will, that says that if a monitor has the g-sync module, it should not incorporate any potentially competitive technology, such as Freesync/Adaptive sync? Or are the monitor manufacturers free to make monitors that support everything, rather than one or the other, ie, monitors that have a g-sync module & DP 1.2a with Freesync/Adaptive sync support?
Re: Monitors with both G-Sync & Freesync support
I don't know what is going on in marketing, but i think it would be weird if NVidia would allow the competitive technology on a G-Sync monitor.

I cant find the post right now, but i have seen some rumors on OCUK forums coming from a sales guy about Acer having a monitor that supports both in the pipeline. Not sure, but i think he was refering to the xr341ck... but maybe not.
