Interesting how they aren't promoting Freesync more. In fact, they only mention adaptive sync. Freesync isn't mentioned even once.
What is the current state of the market? Feb 2015
Re: What is the current state of the market? Feb 2015
Don't really know where I stand either. I had a Vg248qe but the strobing blew away my eyes. Just purchased a XL2430T I'll receive tomorrow, pretty excited to get that configured with hopefully better colors than the 248qe.
I want to wait for a potential decent 120hz IPS panel with lower motion blur, but this seems like something that is unlikely. I don't care too much for 1440p, or anything beyond 24", and have no intentions on using Gsync/equivalent. (I only play CS:GO and SF4)
Seems that if i'm not interested in 1440p and the sync options.... i'm not waiting for much except price drops and possibly a 1080P 120hz ips panel with motion blur reduction.

I seem to have somehow missed this Asus MG279Q monitor.
I think I have just been converted because of the price: http://www.pcper.com/news/Displays/CES- ... sh-Monitor
27 in.
1440p
120hz
IPS (or AHVA depending on rumors)
DisplayPort 1.2a
All for the price of $599!!!

That monitor looks really nice. Now I am not 100% if I'm going to hold out for the 21:9, or just get that one on the cheap.... :-/
