Progress on Strobe Utility for XL2730Z?

Post by Sainthoodx » 18 Apr 2015, 08:54

Hey there,

I was wondering if getting the strobe utility to work for the XL2730Z was a current priority or if it's even thought to be possible?

I don't have my XL2730Z yet, so I can't test anything. If the strobe utility won't work, I'd almost rather cancel the order and go with the XL2720Z instead.

On another note, I also wonder if, when the strobe utility finally works, there would be more clarity (less ghosting etc) using 120hz instead of 144hz?

Would like to see it also, but my 2730Z performs past my expectations in the first place so im happy either way.

On the 2730z and 2430T, the strobe utility adjustments can be done through the monitor osd itself (area=crosstalk, intensity=persistence).

The service menu still exists and allows you to change those there as well, in addition to enabling single strobe (for 60 hz strobing, etc).
The windows utility is not needed.
