I've been playing dark souls 3 on pc and its capped to 60fps
I play on a benq XL2430T using blur reduction.
I prefer to run my games in borderless windowed, I'm wondering if it will be choppier in windowed mode than in full screen.
How does 144hz handle games below 144 fps? Does it just show each frame longer, and if so wouldn't that cause problems because 60 doesn't go into 144 evenly?
60fps on 144hz windowed or fullscreen?

Well maybe, If you run games in borderless windowed, the computer has to render the desktop and other programs that are open as well.

Yes, some frames will be shown for 2hz, some will be shown for 3hz UNLESS you have it set too exclusive fullscreen, then it should auto switch too 60hz.

I personnaly prefer switching to 60hz for 60fps game, yes there's tearing but on 144hz it just feels weird / choppy and a pain to the eye
This is where a gsync/freesync monitor is useful to avoid the tearing

Are you implying that there is tearing at 60hz? because there shouldn't be because Dark Souls is v-synced :\
And yes, G-Sync is amazing

The main problem with switching to full screen/60hz is that i have to remember to disable blur reduction each time

Or you can turn on single strobe in the service menu and use 60hz/60 fps with blur reduction.
Unfortunately, this only works for the blur reduction 1.0 monitors (XL2430T is based on BBR 1.0 not 2.0, as the same firmware chip is used, thus VT tweaks also work).
