Just realized, you must have wanted to edit my comment, but instead quoted it... were you in a rush?
Anyway, I'll do it for you.

The acer is...acer... never really had much trust for that brand...
I'd say LG has good quality, good colors, well built, nothing to complain about. Hopefully TFTCentral release their review soon, they always measure input lag, in korean review it is already measured and its very low (stated 2-4ms).

Currently and honestly I believe LG has no flaws atm. But if I was you, I'd like to see what XL2740 can do.

Wow, thanks for letting me know!
This info makes me lean towards the LG even more.

...plus that monitor is way more likely to go on sale, than the Benq is.
But yeah I'm still curious about it nonetheless... and I'm awaiting that review as well.

LG 240Hz has indeed really improved.

Here is a Blur Busters article I posted less than a month ago to the Facebook/Twitter feeds:

Yep, I've read that.
Though, it contains nothing new for someone, who read k2viper's whole thread already :P

Shameless repost, so that more people would see this info:

darzo wrote:Overwatch has been known to have weird issues with newer cards not reflecting them being better. That said your CPU should be replaced and should account for the problem, although then you might need a new motherboard and while you're at it new RAM. I'd be curious what power supply you have as well. It also depends what settings you're playing on. I have a 1080 with an i7 7700k oced to 5 ghz and I have to have the settings on their lowest values to have a floor of 237 fps.

There are two reasons not to buy the monitor in question. One, it might have a buzzing from the power light area at 240hz. Two, you find 24.5 inches fine or even preferable and want to save a bit of money. I have this monitor and imo it's the best out there. Not only is its size helpful, but contrary to what most people will claim, my impression is its picture is better than the Asus monitor, which I tried as well. The panel supplier might be the same but apparently there's a good deal these companies do themselves.

I've purchased the XF270HA (which I'm sending back tomorrow)... and found that it's basically the same thing as the XB272...which I find ridiculous... it has the same buzzing noise that you described, coming from the power light area at 240hz, the same exact joystick+4 button layout...same EVERYTHING from the outside at least, this is a fact.
The only difference is the acer badge on the front, which is there instead of the predator one; and of course, it has a different stand.

Now on to what are just speculations:
I think it even has the same internals, minus the g-sync unit...
hence the reason for the lower price and sub-par calibration, which results in framskipping at 240hz. (though the colors are still really nice for a TN...worlds apart from an xl2411z, and even a hair better than the Alienware 25)

Re: AOC AG251FZ 240Hz frameskipping fix

Chief Blur Buster wrote:Also:

Currently, there are no reports of frameskipping on 240Hz G-SYNC monitors. When money is no object, buy 240Hz G-SYNC and pay the "premium" anyway even if you don't use G-SYNC and plan to only use VSYNC OFF.

For example, AOC's 2nd 240Hz monitor (with G-SYNC) is already their 2nd generation and has far less ghosting than AOC's 1st 240Hz monitor (without G-SYNC). NVIDIA seems to do a better job of calibrating overdrive (even for non-G-SYNC mode) to greatly reduce ghosting on 240 Hz monitors.

So for the advice of "I don't use G-SYNC for CS:GO" needs to be kind of interpreted differently:
Buy 240 Hz G-SYNC and just turn off G-SYNC if you don't want it.
The existence of G-SYNC brings a lower-lag better-overdrive VSYNC OFF mode too.

This allows you to enjoy the benefits of lower lag, no need for frameskipping fixes, and overall better quality. G-SYNC premium seems to be really worth it during this 240Hz generation even for non-G-SYNC users.

G-SYNC is great, but all G-SYNC monitors also can be used with VSYNC OFF instead too. If you don't mind paying approx ~$100 more (yes, I know, annoying to some); at least it's bought you better quality up front.

Good afternoon! Please answer the points, I really hope for your experience and knowledge.
1)I wanted to buy Aoc ag251FZ but read the forum and saw that without setting on CRU have frameskipping.
Please tell me if you have any information about the monitor Aoc ag251FG and AW2518HF . Do they skip the frames? Do I need to configure it with CRU? My videocard is Nvidia. I mean frameskipping on 240hz.
Which monitor do you recommend (Aoc ag251FG or AW2518HF)?

2) I want questions about frameskipping on monitor 240hz with freesynk. It depends on videocard? I mean if i set Amd videocard, will I have frameskipping? Or it not depends on videocard, no difference nvidia or AMD?

Thank you. Sorry for my English

I've got the AG251FZ and ran the test at 1920*1080p and 1024*768 with no frame skipping on the UFO tests.

So I think they must have fixed it on newer releases?

That is good to hear if they have now fixed this.
Can you post your firmware version and date? (You may need to bring up the service/factory menu to see this pop up)

I can't seem to access the information on the monitor.

The only information I can glean from Monitor Asset Manager is:

- The date of manufacturer 2018, ISO week 6
- Firmware revision........ 0.1
- Firmware flags........... 0x0002005A

Not sure if that's at all relevant :)
