1. My current camera is struggling to get such pic, and also its a bright day currently. There is a review (uniformity test), I can confirm that there's no perceptible edge bleeding seen by an eye. Uniformity is ok.
2. Yes there are 4 gamma presets and black stabilizer which also affects gamma. Its very bright, contrast and gamma were fine for me at defaults, I lowered brightness to 45 despite I'm using MBR full time (it additionally dims the screen). OSD settings can be seen in video here - I confirm that my display has the same OSD options.
3. That's up to you. Personally I prefer 27" 1080p over 24" 1080p. I had 27" 1080p before this LG. And at workplace I have 2x24" 1080p, and I find 27" 1080p definitely more comfortable.
4. You dont compromise picture quality. I'm fully satisfied with this LG, also because after 1,5months of usage, I see that I didnt sacrifice anything in general, specially if you dont count TN panel or 27" 1080 as weak sides. I was fine with both, and looked for an uncompromised competitive gaming monitor in this size, and definitely I got it.

Cool thanks.
That is all good to know. I only usef 24.5" gsync AOC and seen similar posts (blb) about other gsync 240hz monitors.
btw - isn't 27" making tn gamma shift more pronounced?
And - this was probably answered but how low does strobing goes?

3. Turn ON strobing in the menus
4. Dump SoftMCCS (All VCP registers)
5. Diff the two files.
6. Use the changed register to reverse-engineer the strobe enable/disable.

But it could be something else completely in the firmware, such as something similar to NVIDIA's DRM-based enabling of LightBoost -- requiring a continuous encrypted handshake before it's enabled. But I doubt this is the case, because LG's strobing works with any graphics card, so I think it's something else formulaic other than a simple ON/OFF.

Thanks! Very detailed and interesting! I also thought that I need to look in detail, what values changes when I toggle strobing in OSD.
If I even had enough time... 8-)
You could just save the logfiles of the two scenarios and send them to me.
That way, two quick run-and-saves.

The logfiles should record values of all VCP registers.
I might, then, be able to figure out what changed - I am very fast at glancing SoftMCCS output.

I dont think that "all gsync monitors" are bad. But it may be some quality fluctuations for sure, also I think that generally 27" 240hz panels have better QC and also they were released almost a year later then first 24,5" 240hz. So they may be a bit refined over 24,5".
Dunno what to say about gamma shift, I'm on 27" 1080p since 2013 and if it exists, I'm too used to it.
Strobing works 120, 144, 240hz. Best quality and optimal mode is 240hz.

Pricey, are you sure? Recommened price on LG's site is 449 USD currently. I got it in the late January in Russla for ~480 USD. Not that much for 27" 240hz imo. There is none 27" 240hz cheaper, excluding two Acer models: XF270HA and KG271B
But XF270HA has confirmed and not yet fixed frameskipping (critical problem), and KG271B looks pretty similar (but no user reviews on that yet). And both Acers dont have strobing (blur reduction).
So yes, quality-wise, feature-wise, LG is kinda one of best 27" 240hz if you dont mind gsync (I dont, even having Nvidia gpu).
Well...
In my country (Slovakia) you can get the XF270HA for just 350 (as I've mentioned before) ...it would be a killer deal, if it wouldn't have frameskipping.
As for the KG271B, I'm hearing about it for the first time. Haven't seen it listed anywhere yet...
Now, I've searched around and even on acer's website one page says it's 240, and another, that it's 75hz. (Same as with the XF270HA -.- Their whole demeanour demolishes any trust u'd have with them...)
Still, I've found it selling for really cheap, so it might be worth a shot...if it doesn't frameskip it'd be one hell of a deal. (200-300eur)

Here in Russla KG271B costs just a bit less then LG. (~30USD cheaper)
But sure it worth a shot, if you have time and dont mind receiving-returning, though it should be easy but still take a procedure.

Btw Chief, there's new pics of XL2546 crosstalk viewtopic.php?p=31696#p31696
And I must say its "Area" and probably "Intensity" look pretty much the same as LG's. Yes, XL2546 has much more visible overshoot, but looks like strobe timings are very similar between the two.
LG also using an Mstar scaler. So there's still a hope that some DDC/CI commands may control strobe like XL2546.

Is this monitor better than the Acer Predator XB272?

I bought the Acer Predator XB272 because it was the only 27"/1080p/240Hz on the BlurBusters monitor list when I looked at the list to decide which one to buy, but I'm still on time to return it and buy the LG 27GK750F-B.

I'm not sure that "better" is the exact case, but if you're looking for 240hz strobing, this LG is definitely better. But if you need gsync (and dont mind strobing), XB272 is fine. I suppose they both are on the same AUO panel (XB272 is "frameless" version of this panel, LG is "normal")
In my country XB272 also costs about 200USD more then LG.
That's up to you to decide. In terms of quality, LG is good in everything it features. But it doesnt have Gsync. On the other side, XB272 has Gsync but do not have 240hz strobing, and also more expensive because of Gsync price premium.

XB272 was released earlier, but I skipped it because I was looking for 27" 240hz with full 240hz strobing.
