No I never said that. I said there is a bug in the monitor where it wont strobe lower than 120hz at all, making 100hz useless, because it is out of sync still strobing at 8.3ms pulse timings.

Let's try it this way.

If you want blur reduction on consoles (that are limited to 60hz output), you either want a CRT or other monitor or device with strobing (CRT's, maybe some plasma TV's), Sony televisions which have motionflow impulse (Sony tech), or several Benq monitors (XL2411Z, XL2420Z, XL2720Z, and XL2430T only; you will need to go into the service menu and enable the "Single Strobe" option, and then set Strobe Phase to 000 (lowest crosstalk, but 1 frame higher input lag), or 100 (more crosstalk at the bottom, but up to 1 frame faster response). This is the only option you have at this present time.

you said mate there is a bug on this monitor where i can still use singke strobe in 60hz. maybe i can try that?

i really like my benq,. for pc gaming its a hell of a great experience. maybe im just not used to console gaming yet lol.
hello
i'm new here :) (is there a place for new members to present themselves?)

as of may 2018, are there any other alternative ? i'm looking for a 60hz Single Strobe PC monitor for consoles.
as far I understand, only these PC monitors : XL2411Z, XL2420Z, XL2720Z, and XL2430T.

In general, it is Offtopic Lounge that is the main places for new users to introduce themselves!

But I notice it is not clear that users can introduce themselves. So, to help out, I've created a new "Introduce yourself!" thread in the Lounge. Up to you if you want to post there or a separate thread.

If you're looking for a television set, RTINGS.COM has a list of televisions that single-strobes at 60Hz for consoles.

If you're looking for external strobed 60Hz use (e.g. consoles), then yes, only those BenQ/Zowie monitors work with single-strobe 60Hz.

If you're looking for emulator use, you can use the ULMB 60Hz trick with any 165Hz IPS GSYNC display or 240Hz TN GSYNC display.

Also, the Zisworks 4K120 display has the capability to single-strobe at 60Hz too, although I am not sure if it works with consoles.

There are some engines with software BFI built into it, such as the xash3d engine that now has software-BFI additions to it.

Additionally, I am also developing potential solutions which I can't reveal fully yet (but targeted to PC, not consoles).

very complete answer thank you.

however I'm still confused with BenQ/Zowie models.
XL2411Z, XL2420Z, XL2720Z, and XL2430T are "old" models and I cant find them new.
I would like to know if all models listed on Blur Busters Strobe Utility topic are 60hz single strobe compatible (and not double strobe at 60hz).

Alas, only XL2411P, XL2411, XL2411Z, XL2420, XL2420Z, XL2720, XL2720Z, and XL2430T as far as I know.

Basically the strobe-capable "2411", "2420", "2430" and "2720"s manufactured after the first XL2720Z.

Remove the Z (e.g. Zowie XL2720 without the Z) or add the P (e.g. XL2411P) and you'll find them still available.

All the other models don't single-strobe.

ok, thank you Chief

I will give a chance to either BenQ Zowie XL2411P or BenQ Zowie XL2430 (270€ vs 380€), i'm not sure if the S Switch feature on XL2430 is worth it (comparison)

i'm also interested in your PC solution when it will be released ;)

Yeah, most of the Zs are discontinued (except refurbs or ebay) -- so yes, the XL2411P and XL2430 are certainly great options for single-strobe 60Hz for consoles. Short of buying a single-strobe-capable television set.
